Law California law would fine department stores $1,000 for separating toys by gender

Family of four, I'm an uncle too, children will play with whatever imo not just what they're supposed to play with.

My experience with my own kids was that the boys gravitated to traditional boy toys like cars, tools, guns, etc. While the girls toward dolls, coloring, princess costumes, etc.....

How do you know if they are separated by gender?

Great question. It’s not like there are signs prohibiting girls from entering the nerf gun section. Although, in some of these liberal areas, it would be great if they did have signs. “Hi, I’m looking for a birthday present for a 7 year old. Could you point me to the toys for dyadic non-binary demiboys please?”

Gendered toys are normal. I have a big and a girl. They play with some toys together but often they have toys that they like and that’s with me being open to what they want to play with. Boys and girls naturally have diverging interests that increasingly separate as they get older
The bill says clothing will have to be gender neutral. This may sound stupid, I've never had to buy clothes for kids, but are boys and girls clothing sizes different sizes like men's and women's?

Then why separate it? I don't have a firm opinion on it, but I know a lot of girls who would have preferred boy toys.
To make it easier to buy toys for your son or daughter. It's a more organized way of arranging a store. Government should not tell store owners how to display their wares.

So true; Cali only wishes it could launch programming like this.

Denmark launches children's TV show about man with giant penis

Lol, looks like Wallace and Grommet

"Wallace and Grommet and the Enormous Jumprope Dick"
<{outtahere}>

this makes sense even though you all seem so bothered by it. if we are now going to teach children that they do not need to identify with a certain gender, we cant confuse them by then making toys gender specific

The same state that said giving someone AIDS should not be a felony

not just giving... knowing youre infected and not letting other person know cause it targets "marginalized groups" or something

at the same time dont think going out without your mask or youll kill grandma

I don't know man, I got 3 of the little bastards and gender specific toys seems to be pretty important.

Would a department store with 500+ employees really care about a $1000 fine if changing it decreased sales in the slightest? $1000 is only a few Lego sets nowadays.

kindly keep this american retardation away from europe. thanks.

The irony is that 21st century identity politics that have taken over leftist politics in the US was mainly created in academia by Europeans. The two biggest that have shaped the leftist identity politics worldview we see now is Marx, the Communist/Socialist; and Foucault, the Postmodernist.

The other irony is that Europe is full of its own bunch of retards. If anything the pricks right here are trying to emulate the wankers over there.

Edit:

eastern europe. we are safe for now.

You need to clarify this before i go full rant next time. Carry on.

Yeah, I think you're confusing the issue. The issue is government intrusion and the loss of basic human rights. Other than insuring safety (no lead paint on a baby's toy for example), we don't need the government telling toy manufacturers how to design their toys. If Hasbro wants to change the name from Mr. Potato Head to just Potato Head, I'm cool with that. They're manufacturing the toy; they can call it whatever the hell they want. If some store wants to put thongs and boxer briefs on the same shelf, that's their business. The only thing that I'm concerned with his a generation of people that don't see the issue with elected officials having the authority to tell me how to name my products, organize my shelves, etc.

Fine is ridiculous but so are gendered toys imo.

The option of buying barbies for boys and GI Joes/etc. for girls is always there. Why create a law that forces both the store and the parents to conform?

well, it is your opinion we dont need the government to do things. clearly we do as you cant trust people to do the right thing in many cases. that is why there is rampant racism and transphobia running rampant among so many other things. the government is unfortunately needed to protect us from ourselves in many cases, such as this.

imagine you are a young child confused on whether you are a boy, girl, bigender, aliagender or anything else and you go to the toy section and you are told there are only toys for boys or girls and things are assigned ONLY those 2 genders? maybe the kid likes trucks, but feels he is any of the other 60+ genders that are not male? Do you see how confusing and potentially damaging that can be?
