What is up my dudes?

Months ago I sold my LaRue predatobr to buy a JP. I still have the OBR suppressor the TranQuilo. But it’s heavy and I don’t like the muzzle brakes required from larue to run it.

So I’m looking for a 308 heavy use rated suppressor that maintains a high degree of accuracy.

My candidates are:
TBAC Doninus
CGS Hyperion
OSS 7.62

Kind of leaning towards the Hyperion because of availability.

Any thoughts or other suppressors I might consider?

The CGS Hyperion or the CGS Helios QD

The Hyperion is the quietest .30 suppressor ever made, by far. With 6.5 creedmoor out of a 22" barrel it is actually quieter at the ear than some subsonic 9mm and 300 blk.

Helios gives you more options if that interests you and it's shorter while still having fantastic suppression. It is pretty heavy though. My next suppressor purchase will be this when the titanium version releases.

Ignore the data in this below quote from thunderbeast site, it's meaningless. I'm posting it for reference to the pewscience Ultra 9 data. Dominus would be louder than it.
"The 6.95-inch DOMINUS-SR meters at 137 dB (milspec left/right) and 126 dB at shooters-ear on a 20-inch .308. This puts it right between the Ultra 7 and Ultra 9, These are numbers from our PULSE system which should be considered definitive, supplanting all data from the older 2209 sound-level meters."

Nice that’s perfect. I picked up a few cans from kgmade for my PRS Comp stuff but I need 1-2 more to round out my suppressor requirements.

You definitely helped make me feel better about CGS. Think I’m buying the Hyperion.

If I needed a dt bolt action can the Hyperion would be my #1 choice and it's not close.

The only reason I would ever buy an oss is if I had an extremely gas sensitive host I couldn't tune. Other than that there is basically no reason to own one imo.

CGS is so much quieter than the competition. Their baffles are crazy and it can take a lot of abuse. During testing their old prototype did 12,800 rounds of .260 out of an 18" AR10 with no appreciable baffle wear/erosion. Their new cans are 100% dmls 3d printed titanium and are even stronger. They also coat their baffles in S-line to reduce carbon build up, increase wear and heat resistance.

After 12.8k .260, can needs to be cleaned but it's not eroded.

Yeah man I think my decision is getting easier. It’s a bit bulky but the weight is good and I’m either on a barricade or prone bipod 99% of time with this application. I ended up winning a sig cross and it’s a small thing but the barrel is already tapered perfectly for the Hyperion. I doubt I’ll see that cross for sometime but I think it’ll be a solid hunting gun.

Tbac is all the rage in my circle and a little sico omega following. Both good cans but I’m trying to branch out a bit.

Yeah tbac was basically the only name in precision suppressors for a while. When you hear the Hyperion I think you'll be impressed. It sounds really good. I heard it on a 24" 308.

might be a bit late but if you want accuracy from a precision style gun and suppressor set up, look at the thunder beast line up. Co-worker runs an ultra 9 and its pretty beast...pun intended.

My AAC-SD 762 works great for my .308/6.5/300 Blackouts
