if you ask Silva fans Silva could've finished him whenever he wanted but purposely waited to prove a point

He said before the fight that he wanted to win by submission, but anything else is silly. Anderson wanted to go out and submit him within a round making it look easy.

1) No hard evidence that Anderson was injured
2) Anderson may have been doing PEDs then as well. He wasn't caught during that fight, but that doesn't mean he wasn't just smarter about it than Chael was
3) Anderson was hardly an "old man" back then. He's only 2 years older than Chael and both started fighting in 1997, so their wear was similar. Anderson went on to defend his belt 4 more times after that fight.

Your first two points are completely fair, but I have to disagree on the third. Strikers almost always age faster than grapplers and Anderson came from Chute Boxe on top of that.

i mean chael's "near win" is more of a win than jones' "win" due to the fact that silva in has career has tested positive for PED.. what.. twice?
