Why did Khabib take Conor so personally? He had also been a fighter for a long time.

It’s free money at this point.

Everybody from atom weight to heavy, woman or man in MMA would cancel their whole year’s schedule if a conor opportunity came along.

Nobody with that much star power has ever existed in MMA, and probably wont for many years to come.

His coach coming out and saying he'd take Mcgregor over Islam is extremely bad as we all know how Dana feels when someone says they dont want the title shot pre-hand.

He should've directly called for Islam if he wants to fight him, get the belt then call for Mcgregor to make "max money" like everyone defending this is saying.

Islam? Olives will get a paper cut and pull-out of the Tsarukyan fight! Tsarukyan is a Combat Sambo fighter. Islam is Combat Sambo. BJJ tends to lose to Sambo. I've seen it over-and-over again. As far as striking goes, Ollie throws wild punches and gets dropped after throwing a jumping knee (straight up in the air, not forward!). Beating Tsarukyan shouldn't give Oliveira a title shot. Islam beat him so cleanly that a Rematch makes me laugh. Islam has only become more dangerous in his feet thanks to the Volk learning experience. Can anyone show me where no-chin Olives has gotten significantly better? Has he worked on wrestling and can now compete with Islam? His defense and fight IQ, is it better?

Tsarukyan wins by body kicks to Solar Plexus. Forget about Islam.

Not when you factor in your stagnate career while you put all your eggs in the McGregor basket when it’s obvious that if McGregor does fight again it’s not going to be a fight as tough as Chandler

1. Conor is not fighting at 155 anymore, it would be at 170 against him. So fighting Conor, while keeping the 155 belt as hostage would be a dick move.

2. They have no idea when the next title fight at 155 takes place, maybe October? What if the next title shots go to Poirier and Gaethje? Should they wait until October 2026 or keep fingers crossed that someone else gets the belt and will be more active?
How many guys will leapfrog them meanwhile?

Most if not all fighters would pick to fight Conor over Islam. Its way more money.
