I have a pair of cleto 16oz extra padding for a year now, i found at first the glove was super stiff and the hand compartment was really really small for mine (the side of my hand was husting after a few minutes). I got them as sparring glove at first but i ended up using them for pad and bag work because the padding was too thin/stiff to spar with ( i'm 245lbs). Once they broke they are amazing gloves so comfy and protect well the wrist and knuckle. My previous pad/ bag gloves were rival RB-11 and they were awefull compaired to the Cletos.

I just bought Boxeo gloves and tried them for a week. And already found what i don't like. The palm padding is thin. Thinner than my Rival RB11.
I feel my rival RB11 provide better, thicker and smoother grip.
Stitching is not neat and you can tell that they are handmade. But that's not a big deal at this moment.
Wrist support is good since they are lace up. I can punch as hard as I can on heavy bag without worrying that i would hurt my wrist. Every punch land on knuckle. Never had knuckle issue on either RB11 or Boxeo.
Boxeo gloves size are 16oz but weigh 18oz.
Inner lining made from polyester and they dry fast without leaving funny smell (my RB11 suck at this).
When doing padwork with my trainer, i feel my left thumb hit the end of the thumb compartment, little bit uncomfortable, even though I have a regular size asian hand (23cm circumference)
Overall, my Boxeo are better than my previous Fairtex BGV14 which I already sold.
Sorry I only have Boxeo and RB11 so i can only compare them to my RB11, and my english is not good so i can't say much.

How do cleto gloves fit compared to Rival or other gloves (fairtex, twins, sabas etc)?
I am thinking of buyin 14oz Cleto but afraid of being to snug.
my hand circumference is 23cm, length is 20cm, width is 9,6cm

I think Reyes have a pretty wide pocket

I'm not sure why people think they're snug or compact gloes

Nah, I was looking for that one a lot like the whole ebay, amazons, geezeers, official store.
So what is the difference between that old one and new one?
Any thoughts about that one? Thanks

You could've just google imaged "Cleto Reyes Headguard" to find examples with that label.

"Geezers" means you're in the UK; Reyes anything in the UK is at a terrible price. Buying Reyes from foreign retailers and shipping to the UK is often better, or at least that was the case when the £ was stronger.

It's a good headguard but there's loads of headguards out there nowadays that are equivalent to it and much better value. Even if it were £100 new from a store then that'd be pretty good value but not something to get super excited over.

To be honest I live in poland and I had some good reviews about that geezers thats why I wrote about that store.

I also google it and really couldnt find with black insert but let you describe:

I have some chance to buy it brand new from the previous owner for 130$ including shipping, is that a good price enough to take it?
If not that one which one would you recommend?
I was also thinking about Twins HGL3 white L it will be in around same price but from the store.

thank you very much, really appreciate ;)

    I wouldnt get the Twins

The Reyes is okayish at that price but Id look at prices on Chaos, TopBoxer, Pound4Pound headguards, and the Unified headguard is very cheap and good value (although a little bulky)

    Why wouldnt you get twins?
I just tried in the shop and from the first sight it was looking good.
It might be heavy for a longer time but I dont know.

I think I am gonna get that cleto reyes headguard I showed you before cause I am tired already of watching these sites with boxing gear haha

Yeah, that's right, it gets to a point where you just have to make a decision and get on with things.

Cleto Reyes is a top brand. It's not like your head might explode the moment you put on a Reyes head guard.

Over-thinking this stuff is a distraction from the main game.

I've tried a bunch of pair of Reyes and here's my take:
    1. There's a huge difference between 16oz and other sizes.
    2. There's a big difference between lace up and velcro
    3. They've changed a bit recently (in the past year or so)

14oz Reyes in velcro & lace up are pretty snug, same for the hybrids in M. 16oz Reyes in velcro are freaking hangar bays inside (width-wise) and must be designed for knuckle guards or something. From what I can tell the 16oz lace ups fit more snugly than the velcros. I tried on a pair of 18oz velcro Reyes last week and they were way more snug than my 16oz velcros, with a different liner, more even padding over the knuckles, and even better wrist support. Either they've changed the design or the 16s are the exception. Seen some video reviews that support the idea that there were some design changes made recently.

    You are right! But

I need your help again:( as I said I bought this cleto reyes headguard and it was a little
disapointment because at least the lace is missing and it was not brand new... (its always like this that you cant be sure buying from „second hand”..) take a look at the pictures Guys.

can you tell me how can I fix this lace -missing problem? Is it just a regular lace or needs to be somwthing special?

Consider spraying some of TS's cologne on your headguard to make it last 10 years longer.
