Coronavirus: How long will pandemic-related job losses last in Canada?
https://globalnews.ca/news/6921273/coronavirus-pandemic-related-job-losses-canada/

New figures are painting a grim picture of the coronavirus pandemic’s impact on Canadians: the economy shed nearly two million jobs in April, driving the total number of job losses since the start of the COVID-19 shutdown to over three million and the unemployment rate to 13 per cent.

“These numbers are historic,” university economics professor Miles Corak said of the Statistics Canada April labour force figures released Friday.

“We have gone, in just a couple of months, from a high-pressure, high-demand, high work economy with very low unemployment rates to the highest unemployment rates in more than two or three decades.”

Let's not avoid the key question regarding the virus and Canada: Do you believe the pandemic will have any impact on the 2020-21 NHL season?

it has helped to mask the Sharks’ season from hell so it’s worked out nicely for me.

To prevent the spread of corona in Canada, Trudeau passed a law banning the common cold.

With all of the meat plants closing, farms going under, murder hornets on the loose...get ready for a long term food shortage especially meat. But don't worry...Bill Gates already has the solution!

NHL would need to follow quarantine rules before season could resume: Trudeau

The NHL could face another hurdle if the league decides to continue the 2019-20 season in the near future — getting non-Canadian resident players across the border to join their respective teams.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Sunday that players would — at a minimum — need to follow quarantine protocols if they were to arrive in Canada while the border remains closed due to the pandemic.

"I think it's a question we'll have to look into," Trudeau said in a press briefing. "Certainly at a strict minimum, anyone who arrives from another country will have to follow all the rules of quarantine in an extremely strict manner, but we're not there yet in our discussions with the NHL."

Fuck that! The Oilers were about to get into the playoffs with McD and Drai putting up crazy numbers. I want to finish this season!!!

2020 will be a very bad year for the U.S. and the rest of the world. We are screwed either way with COVID-19 or the economic recession. I don't foresee 2021 being much better.

Well, in Brazil the temperature is not really high these days. I suppose only from 27 Celsius degrees+ the virus might die. Or not?!

In Sao Paulo the weather is not better than in Europe.
Rio de Janeiro a bit better, but averages 25-26. Brasilia same as Sao Paulo but at least there from Wednesday they will have better weather. In Belo Horizonte as low as in Sao Paulo. In Curitiba the lowest.

Good weather is in Manaus, Fortaleza, Goiania, Belem, Recife and Salvador (but there is raining). Wondering if they report any cases here?

You're going into winter now right?

The top 3 cities of Brazil as population don"t record high temperatures these days, same as in Europe where it happens. Brazil these days is kinda split in half. From under 25, to over 27 and 30 (27-30).

I hope it is an explanation.

What I am asking is that June-September are typically the coldest months in Brazil, right?
