Multiplatform DEAD SPACE [REMAKE] has arrived (January 27th 2023)

I love deadspace but the gameplay I have seen so far doesn't look impressive enough to be only on next gen.

These dropped recently.

Only the gameplay, or just the graphics?

Survival-horror is the genre that's evolved the least over the last 15 years, aside from sports games. For a remake of the original Dead Space I'd just want them to update the graphics, and perhaps implement some RNG jump-scares to make every playthrough just a bit different.

Graphics. Horizon Forbidden west looks incredible even on ps4. So why is this only next gen?

If that's true, it does seem like an odd decision, given that developers are still a bit hesitant to release brand new games exclusively on next gen. Especially for a game that clearly looks like it could run on last gen, and is little more than a nostalgia bomb. If for nothing else, you'd think they'd want to get the best bang for their buck and reach as wide of an audience as possible. Shit, if "Elden Ring" is on last gen running decently enough, this should be.

This game looks absolutely amazing I just HATE jump scares. I never understood why people did. I can handle creepiness and horror.. I just dont like the feeling of something popping out and startling me lol.

I'd like to see more variety and variations in the alien monsters.

I think the technology is good enough that no 2 monsters should look exactly the same.

This goes for games with zombies like Resident Evil. They could randomize the zombies and the different types of bioweapon monsters. The Lickers should not all look exactly the same. They wouldn't all look the same in real life.

That's the best bit!

I'm the same way. I have to play games like this sparingly because I can't handle the constant worrying about being jump scared.

That's some lame coverart.

Could have done so much better.

Even the original's coverart was more interesting. Makes the potential customer curious why a severed forearm and hand would be floating in space.

Dude this shit is gonna be so lit. I’m staying away from all gameplay videos. Dead space is one of the only horror games that has gotten me to jump. Bout to rewind the clock and only play this super late at night for the vibes.
