Any concerns about the Ultimate Fighting Championship's return to Vancouver should be gone now, as two of the sport's most exciting fighters are set to headline that card.

Late Wednesday, Donald Cerrone (36-12, 1 NC) announced on his Instagram that he would be taking a short notice fight at lightweight. After that, Yahoo Sports broke the story early Thursday where UFC President Dana White confirmed that Cerrone would be taking on Justin Gaethje (20-2) in the main event of UFC Fight Night 158 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada this September. In a recent interview, Gaethje spoke of his desire to wait and face a higher-ranked opponent. Cerrone fits the bill nicely, as "Cowboy" is ranked 4th in the division while Gaethje sits at 5.

Cerrone holds a litany of UFC records including most wins (23), most post-fight bonuses (17) and most knockdowns (20). In his last outing, "Cowboy" engaged in a "Fight of the Night"-winning brawl with Tony Ferguson in June that ended between rounds, when the cageside physician intervened due to massive swelling around Cerrone's eye. Prior to the loss, Cerrone put together a three-fight win streak over the Al Iaquinta, Alexander Hernandez and Mike Perry. That win over Hernandez extended Cerrone's record for the most head kick finishes (seven) in company history

Gaethje became the first fighter in UFC history to ever score post-fight bonuses in each of his first five fights when he demolished Edson Barboza at UFC on ESPN 2 in March. A finisher of the highest order, 18 of "The Highlight's" 20 career victories have come by stoppage. All nine of his last bouts -- win or lose -- have ended by knockout. As a longtime champion of the World Series of Fighting, dominated the competition by going 10-0, and still holds the promotional record for the most knockouts with nine.

UFC Fight Night 158 will take place on Sept. 14 at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Also scheduled for the card include a pair of light heavyweight tilts of Misha Cirkunov vs. Jim Crute and Glover Teixeira vs. Nikita Krylov.
