Dumbest fight IQ

Uriah Hall wanting to hang out and joke with opponents like he wanted to make a new friend in the cage instead of... well, win. Man had so much potential with his skills, but lacked fight IQ and killer instincts needed to hit the next level.

Coming from possibly the most promising talent as well.

I don't really blame fighters for making split second bad decisions, but to implement something so wrong for so long would certainly indicate low fight IQ.

I think Lombard had one fight in the UFC where he lost the first two rounds being outwrestled, then he manages to rock the guy in the third... But went on to go for a takedown. It's like bruh, you're down two rounds, you need a finish, and you're a known hard hitter, not a submission specialist, and you went for a takedown instead of going for the KO?

Ofcourse he lost the decision by doing that, tsk.

Jorge Gurgel...the grappling coach whose ego/fight IQ prevented him from grappling EVER, ha

Anyone who claims they can beat Khabib because of their tremendous wrastlin yet fail to utilise it in their own fights, dominate opponents and stay undefeated like Khabib.

TS nailed it in the OP with Soukhamthath, but Andy Wang is an honorable mention.

Gastelum rocked Adesanya very bad on the feet in the 3rd or 4th round, can't quite remember which... and He hit Adesanya with a huge left and Adesanya's legs buckled and then Gastelum landed some follow up shots and Adesanya was running back and he was totally out on his feet and his eyes were all glazed over, and then Boom Gastelum grabs him and attempts a takedown against the case.. I was screaming WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF . He had him and then went for a takedown, I think he could have finished Adesanya at that point.

Roy Nelson consistently.

He actually thinks stalling and holding people against the cage is legit tactics and he's doing damage. He bitches and complains fight after fight about the ref separating them or judges not rewarding him for it.

His fight vs Reem is certainly an all-time top fight IQ fail. He twice rocked Reem with his famous glass jaw and then went for a TD when one more punch would have finished him. Pfft.

DC vs Stipe recently. DC had that fight in the bag, but his ego took over and he lost the fight. He lost his last fight, which he knew he could win, which makes it so much more painful. Now he has two unfinished business and he is 40 and ready to retire.
Wrong. DC was gassed and after round 2 he was unable to take Stipe down.

Miocic ate everything DC thew at him. Stipe was just thougher and more powerful that night.

That reminds me of the last Werdum-Overeem fight.

Werdum had Reem basically knocked out and went for a TD in the 3rd round.

Marcin Prachnio vs Alvey

This fool literally just charged straight at Sam with his chin in the air and his hands at his waist. One of the biggest WTF moments I've ever seen.
