Jesus. I honestly think Bo flashed him with that overhand left. It looked almost like Beard was halfway out on the way down and got woken up by his head hitting the canvas. I always low-key suspected Nickal had big power in his hands based on his second ammy fight and first pro fight, but that sort of confirms it. Solid transitions on the ground (to be expected given the amount of time he's put in training & competing in no-gi) and he even showed a bit of game off his back. Very solid performance against a guy with almost three and a half times more MMA experience than him who has never been finished. Beard isn't some elite prospect by any means (and you could claim he was handpicked for his bad TDD)... but he's durable, hard to get out of there, with a plenty of heart/composure, has a lot of fights under his belt, and frankly claiming a belt in the CFFC is no mean feat.

I hope Nickal's career in the UFC is managed responsibly.
