Yeah, it's cool and all but shouldn't they just sign 12-1 fighters that were Sambo world champions and already have pro wins over guys with records like 12-3, 11-3, 19-11, 4-0, 3-0 directly to the UFC? It's just weird. Dudes 29 one of the better MWs out there to be signed honestly. Look at tonight having Ismael derail Nariman made no sense, they are two of the best fighters that have ever been on the contender series.

-1st bonfim fight shows why DWCS is evil and robs high level foreign vets of real contracts. That was a 50k type FON war between two guys nobody in the actual division would be exactly thrilled to face

-Wow Lawson way worse than I thought. Williams was game

-Waters looked good/dangerous, but Bonfim #2 is top level. What a shocker: top LFA guys are good. Top LFA guys should be signed to the UFC not made to go on a show for people who haven't been so dominant as pros. Waters should get 1-2 LFA fights or an easier contender series fight next.

-Petrino is a unit. Other dude has brain damage.

lol @ Dana magically declaring the Bonfim brothers as world title prospects after forcing them onto this sham show to get a cheap fight out of each of them.

Lawson was supposed to be a strong wrestler, so for a 205lb'er to come in on 10days notice and out-wrestle him easily was impressive. @Hellowhosthat said Williams was freakishly strong, he was right.

Came 4th overall on Tap, coulda been champ if I'd picked Bonfim by sub.

Anyway overall I think the way they didn't give Bleda a contract was maybe a bit harsh. One thing I don't like is that when he gives his little explanations he holds it against a fighter if they were the favourite as if it's them who set the odds. She's 20 and she 30-26'd someone 10 years older than her. She'll be in the UFC by this time next year I reckon.

Ismael Bonfim just gets better and better every time I see him fight. Beating Rangel De Sa, Andrey Augusto and Nariman Abbasov in a row is a better win streak than most LW's already on the roster have. I'd like to see Nariman get a contract too, deserves one.

Williams definitely deserved a contract fighting on a few days notice a division up and outwrestling a D1 wrestler. He'll be much more fun to watch at LHW where he'll be chucking people about.

Gabriel was always going to get a contract against that dude, so that was expected.

Good fight between Petrino and Bellatto, Vitor obviously deserved a contract and I also think Bellatto will be in fairly soon with a regional win.

Agreed. Bleda is only 20 yet she was intelligent and reacted well to lots of grappling moves at a more advanced level. She’s got great awareness in there for her age. And she dominated too.

100% yes they should.
But the contender series is a LABOR SCAM because they don't actually want these guys paid well or winning unless they have total control over the narrative under the shittiest cheapest deal and trying to take the credit for "discovering" these guys like some combat version of Christopher Columbus.

Every DWCS that has a proven vet in it is essentially the UFC putting a real contract's worth of expenses back in its pocket, less whatever shitty pay the Contender series doles out.

Why are you here? You hate the UFC. Why do you support them by watching the fights they put on? That is what you are doing by talking and watching their fights. Are you just an idiot? Don't answer that last question, the answer is yes.

You should really find something more productive to do with your time. You know, doing something with it that you actually like. Not watching and seething over the pay of fighters.

Here's an example of what a smart, rational, logical person would do. I am from Houston. I've lived here most of my life. I love football. I rooted for the Houston Texans. It goes without saying that they suck, no need to get into that. I've disagreed with alot of the decisions the organization has made, and a couple years ago just had enough. I let go, I don't watch or root for them anymore, even though I love football. I'm happier

At the very least, stay out of UFC Discussion and quit whining about how the UFC does business. Your crying and virtue signaling does nothing and will do nothing. You're just annoying people.

It's possible (at least to those of us with a full skillset of emotions and cognitive abilities) to enjoy a sport, cheer on amazing fighters throwing down, AND simultaneously detest the shitty promoter/league setup that pays them $5k for a sick fight where they took tons of damage from another top fighter.

I can see why tbf lol. I wondered why his record was spotty then when I saw him against Antigulov in UAE Warriors I understood.

He's the definition of someone who just needs one punch. Probably the hardest hitting dude I know.
He's still young , so plenty of room to sharpen his tools and he's huge so he could easily move up to HW too.
