Eric Clapton vs David Gilmour

Once again, music being popular, or topping charts, is not what dictates what is categorized as pop music. You seem to be completely unable to discern the difference between a categorical title and what qualifies something to fall into that category. What do you categorize as rock music, music made by rocks?
It literally does

No, it literally doesn’t.
How a song is structured is literally for radio play doesn't mean it's not a pop song. Its written for radio. Zeppelin is Pop, Pink Floyd is Pop, Kiss, is Pop, Kanye West, is pop.

Stop embarrassing yourself with wikipedia. You don't know shit about music.

Btw, anyone can dance to any song Pink Floyd wrote. It's not complex, stop trying to pretend it is.

You sound like the ultimate hipster loser.

I don't know. Gilmour is a little bit melodramatic. He goes for the big bend because it's like hitting an EMOTION button.

Clapton just dicks around and occasionally gets into it. If he doesn't it doesn't matter. This is of course fucking boring a lot of the time.

I think the ideal is somewhere in between.

Honestly, can't think if any riffs by either of them that stand out.
