Interesting they had a 102 lbs class back then. I guess they conformed to boxing as time went on.

Isnt 105-122 still considered the most competitive range of classes while 130-135 is more like the big money weight? At least I think I heard Rob say that here a while ago.

112-115-118 is still tacked and very competitive it's true, very difficult to stay on top for long. But there has been more and more people at 130-135-140 in the last 10 years I feel. Maybe it's a wrong feeling. Being the money weight would also makes it competitive by nature.
 
Seems logical since most fighters start young and go through 112-118 for a couple of years, and some don't become big enough in size for 122+. In terms of how many active fighters there are, it sounds like it's probably more stacked than 130-140 lbs.

But if you look at some of the guys at 130-135 lbs, they were succesful at lower, and higher weight classes. Therefore i regard them a bit higher.
 
As a lot of people are confined there is time for a page if someone thinks a fighter really deserves one. Might be the right moment for you to make one too lol

He was around a long time and seemed to have fought everyone.

Finding records for golden era fighters is really difficult, I can start regrouping the parts of it I have but it won't be great. I would do the greats from the golden era in priority if I could.
