Favorite athletes (non "superstars")

At the moment it's Sheehy-Giuseppe, his story is amazing and that return in the browns redskins game was like the end of a movie. Incredible celebration!

Buck Allen on the Ravens the last couple of years. Every time he got the ball (he was a RB) he would push the pile like crazy and it was just awesome.

Claude Makelele
Bill Laimbeer (deserves to be in the hall of fame)
Jon Fitch

Tim Duncan
Most overlooked Superstar ever. It is criminal how underrated his career is, had he played in NY or LA he would be considered in the same stratosphere as MJ,Kobe,Lebron, ect. Yet, since he was always a San Antonio Spur he's almost invisible.

On all-time ranking lists he's already vaulted past Kobe. You'll find very, very few that rank him below.

He's unanimously considered the greatest power forward to ever play the game (though I consider him as much a Center as a PF). He stole that from Karl Malone in what used to be a contested throne (from the likes of Barkley, Garnett, Nowitzki, and Pettit).

Another reason Kobe got so much undue attention, apart from playing in LA, was that everyone was so desperately thirsty for Jordan 2.0. Duncan didn't have a chance of being seen in that light. It's why Kobe was egregiously overrated during his career. Those passions always fade with time and distance, and that's why he's settling into his permanent standing on the pyramid (with most ranking him outside the Top 10).

There was a bit of the same effect with Lebron early in his career, and then the pendulum swung the other way when he didn't immediately produce titles in a butthole like Cleveland. Today I doubt you'd find many who would put him below #3 or #4 all-time, and most have him at #2.

It’s funny, pundits still sometimes call the “holding CDM role” as the “Makelele position”.

Kanu. Love this Hat trick so much. Honourable mentions for Nigel Winterburn and Gilberto Silva.
