F2P FPS saw console launch today by name of Splitgate. In a nutshell, arena warfare.
Watched some PS broadcasts of live play and could be fun but the seasoning of this meat is a familiar flavour to every gamer's palate in the PvP space – naught original from what I saw. They are supporting cross-gen as well as cross-platform play, which is very cool. It launches with 20 maps + 10 modes (not too shabby) and hangs its hat on some sort warp and flank combat flow.
Again, free. Might blow; might be sweaty.
The developer behind which is a studio called 1047, whose co-founder (an Ian Proulx, son of Tom Proulx of Intuit, TurboTax, Quicken) was apparently a former top-500 ranked Halo player in the world at one point, which may check out or be invention of a rich kid.
All the promotional collateral for the title is a disservice to the play I saw, looking like yesterday's microwaved leftovers so I won't bother uploading anything in the vein but see below for logo. And check YT for clips if interested.

This should be most attractive to Sherdoggers who don't subscribe to Game Pass (since both of these including DLC are available on the service).
