I need a freestanding heavy bag for muay thai. Was using a friend's BOB but sick of no low kicks.

Recomendations, esp. for one that ccan take kicks? I know there will be some play but hopefully not falling over.

Maybe wrap foam and padding around a tree or something
 
If you like the Bob you can look into the Bob Versys model. Personally I’m not a fan of freestanding heavy bags due to the falling over thing as you pointed out but this was pretty fun to hit.

you can make stuff like this more stable with a simple strap of webbing though. Wrap the upper body like this and just connect to a joist overhead or any other heavy bag attachment.

Check Kijiji Facebook etc. always one around there every few months for me
 
Century wavemaster xxl and fill the base with wet sand not just water.
