Granny fight

At first I was going to say, Never fight while wearing a wig. But actually, it's an advantage. When they grab your hair you can easily escape.

Can someone explain the wigs?

Hair of that texture/dryness doesn't grow long very well and if it does you've either got an afro, dreadlocks, or you have to put a lot of harsh products/messy products on it to straighten it. So for a lot of women of African descent it can be easier to get extensions, weaves, and wigs.

Source: Worked at nursing homes in the hood for about 4 years straight.

I've heard similar from black women. Black hair is porous and should not be washed every day because it dries out quickly. And evidently most weaves come from India and other Asian countries, so there is now ethical sourcing of hair. Yes, that's a thing.
