Hell, General Electric (one of the top 5 weapons contractors in the US) used to outright OWN NBC. This is why there was never any pushback against the WMD in Iraq narrative though the international community thought it was complete bullshit. This is why we can squander over 2 Trillion dollars in afghanistan (with 80-90% of the money going to private agencies) over the course of 20 years and nearly no news coverage.

Pharmacuetical companies do the same thing. They are also sponsors to our corporate news networks and bribe both political parties (opensecrets.org). How many times have you EVER heard a corporate "journalist" say "Full Disclosure: this company sponsors this news network." Id bet never; I sure havent. When was the last time you heard a politician disclose that he recieves campaign money from an industry he is regulating or deregulating while trying to change a policy directly tied to their interests? This is where the distrust begins.

The problem with peoples distrust of media and politicians is created by the media and politicians themselves.

When large industries are allowed to sponsor our media and bribe both sides of the political aisle through campaign contributions, everyone who is supposed to warn you of danger or malfescence is incentivized financially to keep their mouths shut and look the other way.

Big pharma ran the studies used to promote vaccine safety. They bribe both political parties and sponsor our media. If people are apprehensive about the safety of a drug because everyone who is supposed to actually warn the people in the case of something serious is on the corporate dole-out, I don't see that as unreasonable.

TL;DR: When all parties that are supposed to be responsible for safety and transparency are bought by the companies they are supposed to protect the people against, some skepticism of unanimous support isn't unreasonable. This isn't some Tom Clancy war or espionage novel....just run of the mill, boring, legalized american bribery and sponsorship of our corporate press.

In a hospital or emergency setting, sure. But for a GP, they should be able to decide who they accept. My doctor doesn't accept new patients who smoke. The obese, alcoholic, promiscuous (especially if male gay), certain drug users, or people involved in dangerous sports/pastimes are others that could benefit from a healthier lifestyle, and refusing to accept them as patients could be a reasonable way to attempt to sway them.

If this becomes more common, I'm sure we'll hear of a few doctors that will only accept unvaxxed patients.
