Social Housing is a human right?

I am no-ones alt.

If you have no guarantee of receiving it then it's not really a right now is it?

Everyone should have the equality of opportunity to work towards whatever goals they see fit. No-one should feel entitled to equality of outcome.

You may be a capitalist as am I but it's the people that aren't able or willing to work to be successful in such a competitive system that typically call for Marxist solutions to ensure they receive what they want by leeching off others.

This is why ideas such as "housing as a right" will never work because they can only exist by the government forcefully redistributing wealth from others. Eventually you run out of other people's money.

We're just thinking of 'rights' differently. It should be everyone's right to own land/housing. The alternative would be all land/housing is owned by some powerful entity. This entity decides who should receive the land/housing, and when. In that case you don't really have any rights.
