update 2/23 (thanks @second sight ):

update 3/5 (thanks @second sight ):

In a search warrant for Bryant's phone data, an investigator with HPD's Special Investigations Unit wrote that Bryant told investigators he had retrieved two bags of heroin from the center console of Goines' police car at the instruction of another officer. That, however, was not consistent with the affidavit used to obtain the warrant for the Jan. 28 raid, in which Goines wrote that Bryant identified heroin brought out of the house.

I know in Parkland, WA like 3 cops were shot and killed at a donut shop by a perp but 5 guys at once? Damn.

Thoughts, prayers, and best of luck to the injured officers and their families. That sounds like horrific scene. I have a police officer friend who was recently very close to being involved in a suicide by cop situation. In that situation there were 4 or 5 police officers present, and I guess that's the type of situation in which the guy could have opened fire on them. But it's hard to imagine how that many officers were injured unless it was an ambush.

Pay attention to your neighbors and people around you. Although not always there are usually signs leading up to someone doing something like this.

Oh fuck. Texas was where the cop murders happened at the height of blm wasn't it? Dallas?

I know the end result isn't any different to those who lost loved ones today, but I hope this is a warrant gone south type of deal than deliberate targeting of police officers to kill.

Stream is reporting it was an attempt warrant service for either dope or gang crimes.

Oh wow that's near me. Hope they make it.

Jesus. Hopefully the cops make a quick recovery .

This happened in my town (warning, graphic in the sense it's body cam footage and the suspect expires because of the shoot)

The poor bastard that shot that knife wielder was just involved in another officer shooting where a crazy person was chasing people with a machete then shot a fucking crossbow bolt at the cops when they got there.

I heard Houston gang activity is out of control right now. Some guy I know said he had to ground his kid for starting to get into wannabe gangbanging and Claiming sets and stuff.

Society doesn’t have many options for youth If they grow up with dads in jail or dead either. Also Houston has a major drinking “lean” and getting fucked up culture.

Hope no cops were killed if so rip ..

And even after this, people will still regurgitate dumb responses like "Loggers and roofers have a more dangerous job"

Be a gang when it comes to taking down these lowlife gangs.. Just be careful being a gang when it comes to dealing with average citizens.

Rip (or get well) to these workers, your fraternity brothers, that were putting it on the line likely in an area where the depth of what they risked was shit on.
