I’m not the biggest fan of Woodley due the numerous snoozers and frustrating performances he put on, even in his prime. If anything is good and holy in this world, however, he should snatch Jake Paul’s jaw and soul this weekend. I consider this bet on Paul insurance against the most depressing possibility.

The askren fight was easy to predict, this one is a little bit harder.

I favor Jake though, we know he’s sparred with MMA fighters and Tyron is just one good punch away from losing confidence and giving Jake the fight through activity. Tyron is on a rough losing streak and if he gets hit hard and the crowd goes wild, that’s gonna be some tough shit to fight through.

Tyron is fighting significantly up in weight from his championship run, and he’s definitely gonna have more fat on him, which may really hinder his ability to keep the pace he needs to win.

Tyron has always been an incredibly difficult guy to put away though, and I do hope he shows up and puts Jake to sleep. Won’t be betting on this one, but I’ll be enjoying every second. Dana has already started damage control so everything just seems like a Jake paul win.

I have no clue why so many of you think Tyron will win
What did you expect? Many on here thought Askren would win. Olympian, MMA fighter against youtuber etc... Woodley is the same thing as Askren with better boxing. Undersized, no motivation, on a steep decline, going for the money grab. They're fighting at 190, Paul is smart picking on smaller guys. I'd like to see how he does against a guy like Gustaffson.

He’s the sizeable favorite for a reason nothing really noteworthy here.

Sherdog sportsbook cash is not real money, but I do like the way you hedge your bets
<mma4>

Yeah man, the method of hedging against the outcome I personally desire has been the most effective for me. You at least profit off disappointment. I’m a big KG fan and wagered against him last weekend.

True, figured people learned their lesson the first time

I wish this were true.... I don't think TW "should" do that. I wish he "would" do that, sure.... but no way he should.

He isn't as good a boxer as Jake from what we've seen, his recent training clips doesn't make him seem like he's gotten much better, he has a style that a good boxer can overcome fairly easily (Jake may not be a "good" boxer but he's probably good enough to capitalize), he gasses, his heart is very questionable, he looks like he's here for a cheque, he hasn't won a fight in a good while, he's allegedly not training as hard as Paul, he's smaller, and he only has one real boxing weapon that we've ever seen. And we've never seen it used successfully against a boxer.

So I really don't see how TW has more than a puncher's chance with his "big overhand right" (which has pulled his shoulder at least once or twice in a match). He can certainly possibly win, but I just don't see that realistically happening.

As much as I sympathize with TW, I expect the odds are generally correct and that he should be an underdog in this. And, sadly, I expect him to lose. By KO.

But where we DO agree is that, like you, I hope he wins. But I think you'll just make a little money is all.

if Woodley had anything to gain from beating Paul, I would bet on him in a heartbeat. But he doesn't. What's he gonna gain from beating him? A fight against his brother?

They both rock each other, wild exchanges, and ends in draw. They do it again for bigger money.

If there was ever a time to bet the underdog it is in this fight. Tyron has a longer reach than Jake, is more athletic than Jake, hits harder than Jake, has more experience period than Jake, and has a respectable chin. the odds are a joke, Jake has fought nobodies and believe me Ben Askren is worse than your average bar room brawler when it comes to striking. the dude got absolutely murdered every second he spent on his feet in the UFC.

To let the fighting world he is Not completely washed up. <Moves>

They're the same ones who said Askren would win then started crying that it was rigged after he got flattened. There's a lot of MMA fans who seemingly don't understand why certain things work and why certain fighters are successful which is why they assume their success will carry over into another sport
