If Tyson Fury does 6 months sprawl training, how easily can he win the UFC HW Title?

I wonder how those tiny leg would react to this :

Fury can jab your face off from the opposite side of the Octagon. Why would he need to sprawl?

One thing MMA fans need to accept is that no MMA guys would have top level success in boxing, but boxers have top level tools they can use in an MMA fight. You can move from a specialist sport to MMA, whether boxing, jiu jitsu, wrestling. It's been done before. But its a one way street.

I love Fury, but those legs are made for being chopped down. He would only tarnish his legacy in mma. That being said, he beats every mma fighter ever in a boxing match.

He'd destroy them all I'm pretty sure. Huge dude with lots of skills, super fit, and really athletic (even though he looks goofy).

No sprawl training will save his chin from Francis. Wilder might hit hard, but not Ford escort at a 100 miles an hour hard!

Um, never. That dude can box, that's about it. But he's soooo top heavy, a good LW wrestler could easily take him down.

I don't see Fury being able to wrestle well or stop takedowns. He has long skinny legs and his center of gravity is very high. The guy he is sprawling on in the OP could easily cut the corner or hit dump and take top position.

He also has like 20+ years of boxing experience and there's a lot of habits he would have to train himself out of doing that works in Boxing but not MMA.

6 months of sprawl trainind a competent side check kick, and no one beats him.

6 foot 9, 85 reach, rock hard chin, infinite gas tank, god tier boxing, doesnt get hit flush, knows how to use his size and reach, 270 pounds, fearless, great recovery time, great head movement, feints, jab, etc. How easily would he run through Stipe, Lewis and then get his shot and finish Ngannou in minutes.

Love Fury but not happening. Kicks will suck, clinch will suck. He’s an incredibly good boxer but won’t be one-shotting top UFC HWs.

"Infinite gas tank" is easy to say when we haven't seen him grappling. I'd be willing to bet that he'd be exhausted after grappling with Stipe or someone else for even just one round.

6 months of sprawl training isn't enough to get to a level where you can adequately fight off guys who have been wrestling their entire lives.
Yes grappling is different conditioning and he would need to get adjusted to it. It depends on who he's fighting, preferably he would need to be matched up in favorable match ups or fighters that aren't elite level grapplers. Grappling defense and learning how to get up can be learned quickly. It's being offensive with grappling and submissions that takes more time to learn. He's a world class fighter already with athleticism and movement that you don't find in fighters that size and weight. I wouldn't count him out. People think you can't learn anything new when you are older, I don't get the reasoning behind that. Is there a cut off age for learning? I think it's more of an individual thing, maybe some people just don't want to learn or work on anything new as they get older.

Just learning to sprawl won't help him win at the highest level of MMA. James Toney, while up there in age, had plenty of time to learn to sprawl when he fought Couture. How'd that work out?

There's a reason why Mayweather, when fighting non-boxers in McGregor and Nasukawa that they HAD to be boxing matches and nothing else. Wouldn't even allow kicks. That's how much a "great" boxer wasn't willing or wasn't able to step out of his comfort zone.

It’s HW everybody sucks pretty much he would definitely be top 10 within a year of training. Short tubby DC figured it out in 3 years. Look at Greg Hardy dude came from football and he’s competitive imagine what an actual fighter like Fury could do.
He could be top ten, but he could also get wrestlefucked and embarrassed. DC has wrestled for a very long time and that's what led to his success.

With all his talent, if he trained enough, absolutely I believe he would dominate MMA. However, realistically, why on earth would he ever in a million years, stoop to the bush league, joke ass, B circuit at best, UFC fighter pay and disrespect?? - ain't gonna happen.

The man's a world champion and world class athlete:
"Relatively speaking," the UFC is some hick ass, inbred bar room tough man competition, where the winner gets all the beer he can drink and the adoration of his best looking cousin with the most teeth.

He wont even break top 10.

How about clinch, handfighting, kicks, new type of cardio, going away from years of muscle memory who says boxing stance, ect ect

He is "grappling" with Nick Diaz

I don't like fury much but he's not a complete virgin when it comes to ground game, he's said in interviews for years now he's trained in grappling to keep things interesting, he's by no means at a high level but nor is he a beginner.

Kicks...knees...elbows...grappling..

All things fury doesn't have . ...or hasnt experienced in a fight

So could he be champ without those... Maybe..but unlikely...
Its not like Ngannou uses much kicks, knees, elbows or grappling. Fury has a great chance vs Ngannou in MMA.

He can be competitive against some lower level fighters but top guys would absolutely take him apart. He would need 2-3 years of mma training to have a shot to become good. MMA is harder than boxing, believe it or not, takes so much more skill to be good in various disciplines. Definitely a silly discussion.
