Opinion Is China preparing for war?

The real question is if it turns to war does Russia ally with China? Or make China fight a 2 front war? Or pull a USA and come in late to play cleanup and fight the US in China for chinese resources

Russia wont do shit, you think putin trusts the chinese? lol

Interesting discussion with pro-war, pacifists and neutral experts.

As with the soviets, the war is economic and cultural. Nobody would benefit from actual armed conflict. Even the minor western nuclear powers could make the whole of East Asia uninhabitable, forget about what the US arsenal would do.

Economically, they're already drawing even or slightly ahead. Culturally things are more difficult for them since the anglosphere and hispanosphere are already so well established.

They have nukes, US has nukes, England has nukes etc. So no, any war between superpowers will be mainly economic these days otherwise that's all she wrote. The CCP are bastards but they haven't got this far by being stupid.

Their goal is to control the entry/exit point of the earth with satellite space stations/battle stations. Once you have that you can shoot down any nukes and also force countries to pay a toll to go into space. If you don't pay the toll then they just shoot your rocket or space shuttle as they try to leave earth.

We have to beat them to such dominance.

This is never happening due to kessler syndrome. Any regularly used anti satellite system would soon fill earths orbit with so much debris, it'd make spaceflight impossible for everyone. Most of the big powers have run one-off tests on such systems, but they know regular use is just going to hamper their own space programs.

LOL Russian's do not trust the Chinese at all. The Chinese hack the shit out of them too.

Exactly...we never had to nuke Russia. We just made them obsolete and irrelevant.

You can't have total war with nukes, everyone dies. Besides Chinese make junk. I bet a single F22 could take out their whole air force of it could hold enough missiles. They may have a larger navy now according to this

But ours is way better.

Lol, the Chinese with no Air Force , no navy, no artillery and no missile forces , forced the US army to run back, slipping on their own shit, from the Yalu river to the 39th parallel.
The US army is number one in the world but don’t be so dismissive of other forces.
Fighting across your own border is a major force multiplier against a defending army 1000s miles from its own.
Now imagine that same Chinese army with its admittedly inferior Air Force (but not Iraqi levels), massive artillery support and extensive missile forces. Along with navy vessels intercepting routes etc against US forces, in their own backyard.

Frankly, I don’t see how the Americans could win. At least in the agreed upon flash points of North Korea, Taiwan and the South China Sea.

I think at best, they’ll try to exact a high price and an honourable defeat at the first instance so that the Chinese don’t overstep their bounds and go for all three.

Furthermore, I think one may be given up or semi given up to appeasement, one lost in armed conflict and the third will be let go by China for later, to lay back n lick it’s wounds enjoy it’s victory, build public opinion and lay grounds for the future. Let the West keep face, so to speak, for now.

China became a net importer of food in the early 2000s. When you have over 1 billion people to feed, you don’t want to risk getting that tap turned off.

They would just eat the poor and move forward. They dont give a shit ultimately and have been preparing for war/economic war since they began to industrialize.

We already spend 2.5 X's more on our military than China spends on it's military. Further, most of the next largest military spenders are our allies. Articles like the one in the OP are just to stir up fear and more profits for the war machine.
