MP Räsänen is under investigation because she posted a Bible verse

HELSINKI – Almost 70 percent of Finns are still members of the national Lutheran church. But that doesn't mean they're believers. Less than a third of Finns now say they believe in God. This historically Christian nation has not only left the faith but has begun criminal investigations of Christians.

But this is still a nation with a constitution that still tells the national church to "proclaim a Bible-based Christian faith." So, why is Finland investigating a member of parliament for 'proclaiming her Bible-based Christian faith'?

MP Under Investigation for "Defaming or Insulting" Homosexuals

Päivi Räsänen is under two investigations for allegedly defaming or insulting homosexuals. The first after she shared a Bible verse on Twitter last year aimed at Finland's Lutheran church for promoting the homosexual lifestyle.

Räsänen told us, "In my tweet, I directly cited Romans first chapter and verses 24 to 27 and posted the picture of the passages from the Bible." The passage condemns homosexuality.

Finland's Prosecutor General has now opened a second investigation concerning a pamphlet that Päivi wrote 15 years ago about Biblical Christian marriage, called "Man and woman, He created them."

Tweet Results in Criminal Investigation

It is biblical teaching that the Finnish constitution says it supports. Räsänen told us that because of that, she assumed the investigation would not go anywhere.

"Yes, yes, I assumed. In fact, it was a surprise for me that there is even a police investigation about that case. I wouldn't have believed it.

Leif Nummela, editor of a Christian newspaper and a Christian TV host in Finland told us, "I thought that this couldn't happen. It was unbelievable. It was a real surprise. And my first thought was, 'are they really going this far'?"

Basic freedoms in Finland and most of Western Europe are being under a constant threat, with Leftists in power bending law to their will, effectively turning the once tolerant countries in surveillance states where a facebook post can mean prison or ridiculous expensive fines. News like this should serve as cautionary tales to Americans, don't you ever allow commies to dilute the 1st and 2nd amendment.

Brainwashing kids should be illegal. Just like with gender dysphoria. Let the kid turn 18 before you force psuedo science and fairy tales on them. Also would reduce the amount of kids being molested across the globe

For everyone, just so you know, source is Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN NEWS). They might be even more wicked than FOX News.

That's laughable. Molestation is clearly from predators going to places where they have respect, power and little oversight. Which is why teachers in the US are overwhelmingly the place to go for CM. It's a problem with Christianity, but being an idiot and banning religion won't suddenly fix this deep issue.

Not a single fuck was given if she gets locked up

Might actually be for the best lol

Also i hate this sjw bullshit that spread here from the west

Nobody said ban religion. Just no bringing your kids with you. Wait until 18 then let them decide if they believe in fairy tales. Is that unfair? I could make my kids believe literally anything if I told them it was true once every night and then sat them down for an hour every sunday and read a book saying that same thing was true. Its absolutely terrible

I don’t see a problem with like going to mass say for holiday masses and shit. Church is one of those places where kids can learn a little more about right/wrong. Hell, I went to a Lutheran preschool and the only times I’ve been in church in my life is for piano recitals, piano competitions, funerals, and weddings barring my time in pre-school.

But this lady isn’t getting legally smacked for being Christian... she’s getting it for the portion of the book she promoted.

That would probably result in the same. Raisinf kids without morals isn't a real.option and totally removing religion is going to lead to a woke like religious movement. People have an emptiness that needs filling. They will replace religion with vapid nonsense

This is quite possibly the most ridiculous thing ever. Religion is completely unnecessary for teaching morality lol. Religion is a lazy parents teacher for morality

Look at China, Mao destroyed religion. You have a nation with a completely broken moral compass and replaces religion and spirituality with consumption and destruction of the planet.

Yea they replaced religion brainwashing with national brainwashing , both designed to eliminate free thought

So she's not under investigation because of her religious beliefs, but because she promoted explicitly anti-gay passages from the bible. Use that brain of yours to discern the difference or else you trap yourself into a corner defending every passage from scripture literally.

Oh great, another Christian that has to pick prohibitionist scriptures to share with the world over every other possible genre of scripture that might be chosen to strengthen and uplift the world.

And yes it is wrong to censor her too.

Even if religion is a lie, a good case can be made that children need some sort of religion especially earlier in their life. I’m not big on any specific religion either but I think that belief in God is a good thing, especially for children.

Santa Claus is definitely not real, so do you not tell your small child that Santa will bring him presents if he plays nice? Or do you just rob him of all tradition and useful stories that could help shape his moral compass?

If I have kids I’m only telling them about Krampus and the Santa gift will be socks every year. I’m not letting my kid tell others they got like, an iPad from Santa while the poor kid in class only got like LEGO set from Santa..... used.

Keep that shit out of the workplace...

Easy

Not at all. You're obviously not a parent. Social media and TV is how lazy parents raise their kids.

How many places would let you tweet that homosexuality is an abomination and keep your job? Christianity has been dead in the west for decades, they just haven't realized it yet.
