I wish the Italian fighter names would be pronounced in Italian as it'd feel like it's a mafiosi fight where the loser gets killed when leaving the venue.

Try it yourself:
Cerrone
Chiesa
Iaquinta
Mitrione
Vettori

Sir oh knee
Chee essa
I uh quint uh
Meat tree fity
Vett or eiiii

Ch is pronounced like K in Italian. Machiatto.

A single c is usually Ch like ciento

I think it sounds idiotic when people try to pronounce names in an accent they are unfamiliar with.

Mitrione is the only one who doesn’t get pronounced properly

Chiesa, Vettori easily do, Cerrone they somewhat anglicized but still there, Iaquinta I don’t expect anyone who was born in N. America to be able to pronounce properly

Generally non English names for English speaking natives of N America is a guess and it’s wrong 99% of the time
