He had literraly no mma interest and background before he get that commentarory job by hazard

now he is rich as fuck because of mma and he is seen as one of the most if not most legit mma specialist

While Rogan has become unlistenable over the last couple years, he has done a lot for MMA. He was one of the first famous people to help promote the UFC and when he was teamed with Goldberg he was a pretty good commentator. I'd be willing to guess that a lot of people tuned into MMA after hearing Rogan's podcast.

Shit on him all you want as a person, I don't care. He's become so disattached from the real world that he's starting to sound like a rich grandfather. But don't pretend like he hasn't done a lot for the sport.

Tai Kwon Do champ and NewsRadio cast member way before he started UFC.

No one picked him up for UFC commentating. His popularity soared after Fear Factor became a thing. It was a very popular show for a couple years

I love how it’s like “this guy has no interest in MMA” but he knew enough to become the color commentator.....

I’m not even like a Rogan fan but this is just pure hate.

He's a Taekwando black belt for many many years and JJ blackbelt, he was doing Taekwando competions at a high level decades ago.

Yes he had a good talent manager, was at the right place and right time in his comedy and acting career. For a man of below average stature and decent media talent, he tried whatever opportunity was thrown at his way and got lucky.

No he definitely went on record during early JREs that he used to actively hate mma and thought it was a hulked out mess, only when he was offered to work for the organization did he realize the sport's merit

Nothing wrong with admitting views change, but TS has a point when it's been his major breadwinner out-earning his stand up
