Just Watched GSP vs Bisping Again

The guy who’s afraid to move up and challenge for a title and refuses to fight a 40 year old 4 year layoff GSP at catch weight...?
He still destroys him at any weight except 185 even if he doesn't have confidence in himself

Anderson and Jones were from different Eras.

There used to be this thing called Warrior Spirit.

Then GSP comes along in his fancy pants little suit and his little, " Wee Wee I am French," getting covered in grease like a french fry when he had to fight a real man 1/2 his size in BJ Penn. There's a reason we decided to call them Freedom Fries and his name is GSP.

What is up with this salty ass poster?

Must be one of the three closet Anderson Silva fans left on here that keep getting their accounts banned.

Funny though if you use Michael Bisping as a reference he has nothing but good things to say about GSP, a guy he lost to.

Anderson Silva on the other hand...

He loses to current usman

Quite possibly. He's 40 years old.

That said, most of Sherdog (myself included) thought he was going to get his ass beat by Bisping, a guy that spent over half his career as a LHW.

so who knows...

He cherry picked Diaz lol

No he didn’t. You have no clue what you’re talking about.

he was scheduled to fight Diaz years before they actually fought. Because he had surgeries everything got moved around.

that’s why condit fought Diaz first and when GSP came back he fought Condit before Diaz because Carlos won the Diaz fight.

Stop making up lies

George really improved his game during his layoff and it is disappointing that we saw glimpses of his improvements in the Bisping fight.

With that said, GSP beats Khabib and Usman at 170
GSP is an insane athlete and an underappreciated fighter.

I cant believe he was sanctioned to fight Gastelum so soon after getting finished like that. His team let him down. All involved ought to be ashamed.

in b4 posts in 2031 that GSP beats WW champ that year and best p4p fighter of that year when he's 50 years old.

He cleaned out WW. Yes his style during his prime was very safe but he didn’t incur significant brain damage for that reason, is one of the GOATS, and made millions out of the sport.
He cleaned out WW for a while, but it had become a much better division by 2013. The overwhelmingly majority of people thought that Hendricks beat him, so a rematch was warranted. Lawler and Maia had become credible contenders, as had his teammate Rory. Those are 4 top guys that GSP needed to beat convincingly to truly clean out the division. Obviously, he decided not to fight Rory because they were teammates, but that also means deciding not to attempt to clean out the division. Then, within a year or two, Woodley and Wonderboy emerged as contenders. There was no shortage of fights for GSP.

The real shame will likely end up being that GSP never fought Usman. When Usman completely dominated Woodley to win the belt and move to 10-0 in the UFC at welterweight, GSP was 37 years old. As you said, GSP, at 36, looked great against Bisping. He should have come back to fight Usman. Now Usman has a chance to pass him as welterweight GOAT. Usman is only a few fights away from running his record in the UFC welterweight division to 15-0 with no split decisions. GSP went 19-2, but 2 of those victories were split decisions.

I'm the one that doesn't know what I'm talking about and you come and post this? Lol

They were scheduled to fight, but they didn't at that time and it wasn't because of GSP's surgeries. Diaz missed multiple press conferences and Dana pulled him from the Main Event and gave Condit the title shot. THEN GSP tears his ACL which makes Dana put together Diaz vs Condit for the interim. Condit beats Diaz and gets the unification bout vs GSP.

So there were plenty of challengers for GSP to face at that time, and GSP chooses to fight Nick Diaz who was fresh off a suspension and a loss. He cherry picked him

he was so concerned with preserving his precious legacy and he's about to get passed by and the only thing he could have done to cement it is fight the middle weights of the day.

The torch was passed from Royce to Saku to Wand and eventually to Fedor. Along the way there though were a bunch of guys in Pride that all came to the UFC and most stayed in the Middleweight division which was ruled by a former Pride guy. The middle weight division of the UFC was where it was at and GSP hid behind BS excuses and if he wanted to be the greatest then he needed to step up but he didn't. mic drop.

gsp only took the fight because bisping is a pushover. bisping said ok because he's only about $$$. he knew whittaker or yoel would fuck him up... so he called out #9 ranked Hendo lol
