Found this pretty helpful. Not as overblown as Danaher stuff.
 
I always tell my students if it’s hard to pass one side the other side is open. Kind of a dumbed down version of what he’s saying but it’s the easiest way I can explain it to new students.
 
Great explanation of how concepts underlie technique. The basics are not the basics because they are simple, but because they are the most conceptually sound. This is a more robustly empirical version of "invisible jiu-jitsu."

funny how certain things become basics over time in 2010 de la riva was new stuff lots guys didnt know how to deal with it pass wise now rogers doing de la riva and some x guard
