Economy Landlord with 24 properties. We’re suffering during Biden’s eviction ban, too and no one is helping.

He’s the wrong example. The single mom who rents out two places to help her pay her own bills is out there.. Might want to find her.

The single mom doesn't have a voice, this guy is able to get his message out and he said we're obviously advocating for a group of people that have been left out of the discussion.

End the comidification of basic human needs. Having a roof over one's head should not be contingen on having the good fortune to have nothing go wrong in life.
Well then the gov needs to help those renting the property.

Covid was done so wrong it almost seems intentional. The landlords needed to be compensated first so all that rent wasn’t due at once. Our gov sucks.

I might move my superannuation (like a 401k) money into cash and go defensive. The sub prime crash really hurt the stock market and it could do the same if the US market takes a hit.
Having some cash around is a good idea in case you see a good deal. Don't know much about stocks but if you got enough for a sizable down payment you could join the club and be a dirty landlord and make bank.;)

Lol I have 3 houses.

(Correction, myself and the bank have 3 houses)

Perhaps landlords should get real jobs and not own property that they can't afford without extracting passive income from others by ransoming housing.

Most of them have other jobs. Gimme a break lol. So you want to scrap the entire economy then?

Are renters not responsible for paying the rent eventually?

Despite trying to prevent landlords from collecting rent, Rashida Tlaib collected thousands herself in 2020

While she was trying to prevent landlords from collecting rent, however, Tlaib was making plenty of money off of a rental property in Detroit.

According to a Fox News report Tuesday, a 2020 financial disclosure form filed on Friday showed that Tlaib earned between $15,001 and $50,000 in rental income from a property worth between $100,001 and $250,000.

Some industries have been absolutely decimated by Covid measures, yet he retains 85% gross profit and throws a tantrum. Sit down loser.
There are plenty of them. It's the same as everything else. Convince a bunch of children that they're stealing from evil rich white people and they'll get free shit, while the rich people and the corporations are the ones who will swoop in and buy up the properties for dirt cheap after they're foreclosed and you've just pummeled the middle again... again.

That video is completely useless at making the viewer feel pity of any kind. The Chinese buying out property everywhere is a plague; it should be illegal. The people in the video didn't even bother learning English before proceeding to use poor Americans as their personal cash cows.

<JagsKiddingMe>

It said the guy worked at a nail salon for 20 years to save for the house, and the squatter is a rich dropout from an elite private school, and the guy is going broke. How on earth did you get from that "rich Chinese are buying up property everywhere and using poor Americans as their person cash cows"?

His race is the reason you don't feel any sympathy for rich squatters wiping out 20 years worth of labor?

It's hard to feel sorry for someone renting 24 properties not making as much as they did last year.... fuck that guy.
I agree it's hard to feel sorry for him. Lots of us went through tough times the last two years.

But "fuck that guy"? What'd he do to you? Or is he a slum Lord? A terrible person? Kicks puppies? What?

In the grand scheme of things he's just a peon. He might be a rung above you on the ladder, but if that's your yardstick for random hate then remember you're probably on some envious twats "fuck that guy" list as well.

I don't feel sorry for the guy, but some of you people sound like you're ready to get pitchforks and start a Bolshevik revolution while the really wealthy consolidate all capital and laugh at you.

Landlords being forced to sell their properties to massive corporations at bargain basement prices because they aren't getting any rental income? What's the problem?!
That's exactly what the goal is. Warren buffett talked about doing this year's ago. I bet once they've acquired whatever percent them and the pelosi types have agreed on they'll get bailed out for lost rents.

Property ownership should be restricted to citizens. Same with most rights.
