He's back.

And he's on vinyl.

Welcome back Nurse.
Thanks brother!
Although I've lurked and commented on a few things in the main, I've generally stayed away from the logs since I felt so terrible for not being able to lift over the past few months. Life just gets in the way. I had no real excuse other than I got into other things, and I becomes bored with it

I forgot to mention my purchases on Sunday!

I bought a bunch of classic Christmas albums, Every One of Us / Eric Burdon and the Animals, and the History of Otis Redding

That was all I had time for. Buddy came over with Their Satanic Majesties Request by the Rolling Stones which led quite nicely into Jazz in Silhouette by Sun Ra and his Arkestra... (God I love how he spells orchestra!) with a glass of Kilbegan, which I found to be a bit mossy for my liking, but cut with water it was quite nice.

Vinyl record this weekend was a rare find and a learning experience for me. Steve Miller and Lol Coxhill collaborated in the early 70's and the results was an amazing and groovy take on jazz fusion. This sort of find is the reason I love flipping through heaps of records and never go in with a plan.

I'm off any horizontal pressing until I get a bench. I'm nursing some soreness at the shoulder joint. Nothing that inhibits vertical pressing. Likely due to doing floor presses being so ROM limited. I have some exercises to do in order to help, so I'll be doing those and continuing to press overhead.

Thanks man!
I have been holding myself accountable as of end of January 2019. At first I was just fucking around with weights, not caring about the numbers, just doing high volume with both heavy and light weights, so lots of sets of 1-2 and lots of 10-15. I grew some actual muscles. I started Madcow with really conservative numbers 8 weeks ago and have been riding the linear progression. Deads are heavy but manageable, squats are the same. 290 for 5 wasn't more than an RPE of 7-8, 425 for 5 on deads was probably where I'm stopping. I think I'm good to back off next week and restart with new maxes. My OHP has shot up. I did a joker single of 175 about a month and a half ago. Z Presses have been really helpful.

What I like about Madcow is the simplicity and the fact that I'm not training for hours on end.
