I think we can analyze where Figueroa needs to grow and develop in the coming weeks with fair and thoughtful reflection and review of the fight. For now I'm just glad we aren't going to have to deal with Nery for the forseeable future.

Nery looked uncomfortable from the very start, even though Figueroa was losing rounds he was taking more from Nery than Nery was taking from him, his pressure and output broke his resolve

I was out last night and headed out now to eat, but I watched the first two bouts today. I mean, that's about as entertaining of an opening bout and "co-main" as I've seen in recent memory. Props to Roman on a master class of boxing. That was beautiful to watch. I saw results of the main and can't wait to watch that when I get in later. Quite a Showtime card, so props to them as well.

What a fuckin fight. Nery had more options, fantastic inside and slick behind the jab but when you have a terminator on you, everything starts to break down. Props to both guys for an amazing fight.

Just one more mention that if you didn't catch this and can find the bouts, this three-fight card is as good as they come. Start to finish.
