I've heard Seyer quality has gone down hill. What brands are legit and easy to get a hold of? Are there any Mexican brands known for having softer or more supportive padding? I had Zepols and loved them but they destroyed my hands.

If you're looking for a Mexican brand with a more forgiving padding, I would personally say Campeon and New Sporting (I know, I know, a lot of people here aren't a fan of their company service, but I gotta say, their gloves are decent). I had a pair of Casanovas (the legit one) and Boxeos, I had the same feeling you're saying with Zepols. The padding on those two felt like rocks to me and even though some people said you need to break them in, felt like my knuckles wouldn't last till that day.

Hiii,
I am still new about mexican gloves, maybe seniors here would like to explain to me.
Is hernandez boxing gloves have any link with grant? I saw the shape looks same.
Maybe i am wrong, just curious. Thank you.

I went to the guy from 95eraathleticclubs home today and picked these up. Real nice guy. He brought a bag down full of gear and I couldn't make up my Damn mind but I ended up getting these. They are beautiful imo.

Hey I have a question how long did it take 95er to reply to you? I'm trying to purchase a headgear through DM but no response as of yet. Thank you.

Excellent thread!

That's the rumour, I think. I don't know why it's so hard to find out who is actually making Grant at any particular time. Surely lots of people in the industry know.

They really look similar specially their triple cuff. But some people said the hernandez glove inside part not too good.
I am in the middle confusing to choose hernandez, boxeo, and champeon.
And also is casanova and gil boxing gloves have same feeling?
maybe i can get explanation from seniors here. Thank you

I think NS are the best; but customer service maybe is not the best.
I have these in stock for sale only 99€ + shipping.

There was another Casanova, now Necali or singing similar. They lost the law suite against the first company. Anybody knows the story? How looks quality of this gloves?

You've got it backwards; there's Casanova in Mexico, the Mexican brand. The gloves you posted are these.

Then, a US distributor set up shop, to sell Casanova gear. They did so under the Casanova brand name. However, it turned out that proboxingsupplies.com had already trademarked the name "Casanova" in the US several years earlier, and then began selling what amounts to Casanova fakes which aren't made in Mexico. So, because proboxingsupplies already trademarked the term several years ago, the US distributor of the authentic Casanova gear had to then rebrand it to Necalil in order to continue their business in the US.

The original Casanova is the Mexican company that lost the lawsuit. Since it lost, it now goes by the name of Necali.

The fake Casanova is made by the US company Pro Boxing Supplies (PBS). This is the one that won the lawsuit.

Buy Necali, not PBS.

I don't think the original Casanova was involved in that way exactly, it's the Americans (now Necalil) buying from them in order to sell on in the US who lost. The original Casanova are still Casanova and can still sell Casanova to US customers. So the Mexican Casanova business did still lose out somewhat in expanding its brand to the states and abroad through the distributor because of this, but it's still Casanova.

Aaaah, I see, thank you for the clarification.

So, given the result of the lawsuit, the Mexican company produces Necali-brand gloves specifically for its distributor in the US market?

yep, because the distributor, being US based, has to abide by those US trademark laws
