Probably because his odds are way longer than the known names like Kershaw, Rodon, etc. and it could be worth a flyer.

I dont mean to sound condescending, I'm just playing devils advocate here. You cant justify a shitty play by just calling it a flyer. Kuhl has had 5 starts this season, and these are the offensive ranking against RHP of the teams that he's faced this season so far (30 total teams in MLB, dont forget): Texas (28th), Philly (13th), Detroit (29th), Cincy (27th) and Arizona (23rd). Again, he also pitches at Coors, so his numbers will probably be inflated due to that. Even against the poor offenses that he's faced, he's showing signs of due regression (meaning, he's been lucky). His ERA is 1.82 while his xERA is 2.91 and his xFIP is 3.83. If his xFIP is 3.83 against largely bad hitting against RHP, I dont wanna know what his ERA is going to balloon to once he faces the Dodgers of the world
