Kevin Feige breaks down the future of MCU an Disney +.

So the new movie Pig, starring everyone's favorite actor Nic Cage is getting rave reviews. Like, legitimately good reviews. I'm not entirely sure how to take this.

This.... well.... can't possibly be worse than Space Jam 2.

The Rock... Looney Tunes... Steve Austin... John Cena.... a few other WWE cameos...

Call me nuts, but I think this has potential to... well... be very entertaining. Not 'good,' but entertaining.

Mogul Mowgli's Bassam Tariq in Early Talks to Direct Marvel Studios' BLADE Movie

Marvel Studios’ Blade, centered on its vampire slayer character, is zeroing in on a director. Bassam Tariq is in early talks helm the feature project, capping off a search that began in fall 2020. Tariq is known for directing the rap drama Mogul Mowgli, which he also co-wrote with star Riz Ahmed. Marvel declined to comment.

Two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali is playing Blade, a half-human, half-vampire who stalks the night to hunt down vampires. Marvel boss Kevin Feige revealed the casting of Ali at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2019, with the executive noting the actor informed Marvel he’d like to play the character after he won his second Oscar, for Greenbook.

Despite the early star attachment, it was only halfway through 2020 that Marvel really began sharpening the stakes in the search for its creative team. The studio spent months meticulously searching for the right scribe, only this February landing on Watchmen’s Stacy Osei-Kuffour, who became Marvel’s first Black female writer in the process.

Blade debuted in 1973’s Tomb of Dracula No. 10. He was created by Marv Wolfman and Gene Colan, and went on to be played by Wesley Snipes in three films made by New Line Cinema from 1998-2004. Stephen Norrington, Guillermo del Toro, and Goyer respectively directed the trio.

In The Heights Star Leslie Grace Cast as Barbara Gordon in BATGIRL Movie for HBO Max

DCs-Batgirl-Movie-Casts-Leslie-Grace.jpeg

Leslie Grace is reaching new heights. The actor, known for her breakout role in In the Heights, is joining the DC Universe as Barbara Gordon, AKA Batgirl, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Bad Boys for Life filmmakers Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are directing Batgirl, from a script by Christina Hodson, the DC mainstay behind Birds of Prey and the upcoming The Flash. Kristin Burr is producing.

In addition to acting, Grace has made a name for herself in the world of music, receiving three Latin Grammy Award nominations. The DC Universe has cast three Latina actresses in key film roles this year, with Grace, who is Dominican American, joining Sasha Calle (Supergirl in The Flash) and Rachel Zegler (a mystery role in Shazam! Fury of the Gods).

Barbara Gordon, the daughter of Gotham police commissioner Jim Gordon, is the most famous version of Batgirl, who has had multiple characters don the cape and cowl. Batgirl originated in 1961 as Betty Kane, with the character revamped in 1967 for the Batman TV series for its third season, when network executives wanted to attract a female audience to the series. Yvonne Craig played the character on the ’60s TV show, with Alicia Silverstone playing her in Joel Schumacher’s 1997 movie Batman & Robin.

The Batgirl film has been in development for several years, with Joss Whedon signing a deal to write and direct in 2017, and dropping out a year later.

Batgirl does not have a release date, but Warners has previously indicated it will likely bow on HBO Max in 2023.

Damn, it looks better than I thought it would. Then again, Villeneuve makes gorgeous visual films.

Holy hell. Not a single response for the rumored Director of a huge Marvel property?
That tells you all you need to know about how low the MCU movies are in prestige for Directors. Glorified TV work. Those of us who aren’t kool-aid guzzlers have known that for years now.

This reboot might be good but... Del Toto... Ayer... yeah, there’s no goddamn way it’ll be as good or even interesting as the first two Bkades. Now don’t get me wrong: Disney/Marvel will make more money and move more Blade Merch off the reboot. But it’ll be a soulless PG-13 affair

Dune | Official Main Trailer

Looks good, but doesn’t “feel” like Dune.

I understand the need to update it, for lack of a better word, it just is lacking the almost heavy-handed philosophical feel of the novel, and many of its sequels.

Could definitely be wrong though. It is only a trailer. No doubt I will immediately watch it on day one of its release. The first five books are still some of my favorite series in science fiction.

First Trailer for Army of the Dead Prequel ARMY OF THIEVES on Netflix

2nd Trailer for Jason Reitman's GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE

Lady Jessica is not seductive enough.
Plain fucking Jane.
Chani is some butterface.

Terrible casting.
Good ol' sherdog, where everybody only bangs 11s. Apparently Zendaya is a butterface and Rebecca Ferguson is plain-Jane.
