Mark Magner was in attendance outside of the capitol building. He said if it doesn’t work today, then they will continue to protest the election results in support of President Trump.
“We’re going to continue to protest and we’re going to continue to voice our opinion and we’re going to write and call our congressmen and hold them accountable,” he said.
The group then moved inside where authorities said they had a permit and went through the security screening at the entrance.
The authorities added that nothing was damaged, stolen and those with weapons on them, which are allowed in the statehouse, did nothing with them.
Kansas Highway Patrol Troop K Captain Amber Harrington spoke with 13 News after the crowd left.
She said, “They came in, they followed directions, they were very cooperative. So, there was no issue whatsoever.”
Michael Alvarez was one of the many demonstrating throughout the afternoon. He was frustrated when news broke Wednesday afternoon saying otherwise.
“We didn’t breach it, we didn’t run in here. They put it was like the chaos going on in Washington D.C. it is nothing like that,” he said.

If after screaming hang Mike Pence Hang!!! Nancy Pelosi!!! and despite numerous warnings she was trying to break into an area of the capitol where members of congress were being evacuated then the cops might have been justified in using deadly force.

When is criminals/cops, is different because its a civilian matter.

This matter is like seals killing osama...and the reason they dont release the seals name who took part of that is revenge of terrorist.

Same logic applies here....insurrectionist are like terrorist and would want revenge against this cop...thus is dangerous releasing his name.....this isn't a normal criminal matter.

Like the FBI has said right wing extremism is really common, they would want revenge for their fellow death insurrectionist...thus the name shouldnt be released.

There were a number of federal buildings attacked by protestors (read: insurrectionists) last summer. Many were breached. Those people weren't shot. That was the right choice.

Shooting this woman may have been the right choice based on the circumstances (first through the line in a very volatile situation with high stakes and potential targets of high importance), but I'm not sure it makes sense that the whole thing is investigated in secret. It's a pretty dangerous precedent to set. She was an American citizen with no history of being a violent threat and no weapon at the time when she was shot.

All of which is to say that there is certainly room for differing points of view on this shooting and on the way that the investigation is being conducted, but the Bin Laden comparison is bullshit.
