International New CCP directive bans "sissy men" on TV. CCP opposed to girly Korean and Japanese pop stars

- The CCP has a new directive : No sissy men on TV.

Broadcasters must “resolutely put an end to sissy men and other abnormal esthetics,” the TV regulator said, using an insulting slang term for effeminate men — “niang pao,” or literally, “girlie guns.”

- CCP is concerned with effemiate Japanese and Korean pop stars leading young Chinese men astray.

That reflects official concern that Chinese pop stars, influenced by the sleek, girlish look of some South Korean and Japanese singers and actors, are failing to encourage China's young men to be masculine enough.

Broadcasters should avoid promoting “vulgar internet celebrities” and admiration of wealth and celebrity, the regulator said. Instead, programs should “vigorously promote excellent Chinese traditional culture, revolutionary culture and advanced socialist culture."

Me thinks the CCP has totally missed the point of Pop stars. They’re almost always foppish because the point is to appeal to little girls.

On balance South Korean men tend actually tend to be pretty well built and masculine compared to other Asians. And as I understand it are amongst the most desired by women across Asia… which maybe explains why the CCPs saltiness. Chinas got a shortage of women as it is, can’t have them fawning over Koreans and other foreigners

A notice from China's education ministry has caused a stir after it suggested young Chinese men had become too "feminine". The proposal to prevent the feminization of male adolescents called on schools to fully reform their offerings on physical education and strengthen their recruitment of teachers. The text advised recruiting retired athletes and people from sporting backgrounds - and "vigorously developing" particular sports like football with a view to "cultivating students' masculinity".

The overwhelming majority of Chinese reaction to the notice has been negative. Hundreds of thousands of Chinese have taken to social media to voice their anger, with many branding the government's message sexist. "Is feminization now a derogatory term?" one Weibo user asked, receiving over 200,000 likes. Another said: "Boys are also humans… being emotional, timid or gentle, these are human characteristics." "What are men afraid of? Being the same as women?" one asked.

"There are 70 million more men than women in this country," another claimed. "No country in the world has such a deformed sex ratio. Isn't that masculine enough?" Another said: "None of these proposals have come from women."

Serious question: how is it possible to live in a totalitarian state and be a masculine man?

China’s model is whipping their population into submission and unquestioning obedience. They may not dress like femboys but they’re essentially cattle, beta-males waiting for the party to instruct them what to do.
