No, it lost pretty bad
I dropped like 2.5u on -110 lol
Blind tailing you jb and jae....
Wooo watch The Big Short tonight guys will make you feel better about betting our economy to trend to shit tomorrow
JB, that Snopes article has a quote from a NYT Columnist: "Anyone credulous enough to believe a football game can forecast the stock market, probably should hire a money manager, or a psychiatrist, or both."
But I would tail you if I could find odds on a Euro book.
Also, the article says the economy is supposed to tank after a horse wins the Triple Crown or the Mets reach the World Series.
Thats exactly what the movie is about lol dudes who gambled on our economy to crash before it did in the 2000s due to ridiculous housing system and all the craziness behind it
We're pretty much those dudes, to a much lesser extent
Fucking amazing movie as well
I probably should hire both, so that article is on to something
regarding national anthem time, i found this. probably explains it
lol right. A horse won a Triple Crown and the Mets reached the World Series in the past year.
Also, this Super Bowl indicator could possibly have no relation at all to what happens to the dow. However, hopefully enough people know about it, that the dow does go down tomorrow
Haven't seen it yet but will watch it. I did read some excerpts from the book.
They were some smart guys, they pretty much invented the credit default swaps from what I read. They saw the bond agencies rating these bundled mortgages at AAA and realized before everyone else what a sham it was.
This is oversimplifying it (by a lot) but they pretty much invented a way to buy insurance on something they didn't even own but knew had a very good chance of coming apart. Like if I see my neighbor getting completely hammered every day and then driving his brand new Range Rover like a madman so I invent a product where I can buy an insurance policy on his car and get paid if (when) he wrecks it. Smart fuckers, no doubt. I gottta see the movie.
I just checked historical dow prices for the last 10 years in regardless of whatever conference winning the Dow was down the next day more often than not
The Big Short is a great read, pretty much anything by Michael Lewis I'd recommend. Dude finds amazing stories. There's loads of free stuff online, I think mainly at Vanity Fair. Going to the film on Tuesday.
Great, I just found out that the last two times the Broncos won the Super Bowl the Dow Jones did great that year. The prop is taken off 5d... Hoping for the best lol
defence wins championships, knew that money line was way off
this vegas dave motherfucker predicted the broncos from the start (same guy that won 240k on holly holm). guy is like nostradamus
Dow jones Down so far woooo
Thanks for the tip.
Driving to work today first thing I hear on the radio...."dow jones down...." oh fuck yeah JB nails it.
Pretty vague prop but I think it has to be graded a win now.
Also my "john fox" prop was graded a loss but I am sure John Fox was said at least once. They went through all the old coaches and said his name and his name was even on screen! Not sure if I should bother chatting with 5d as it was only for 20 bucks and I don't wanna get in Tony's bad books!!!
Think we have to wait for end of day for it to be an official win, but its down pretty bad today. No way we lose at this point
Okay so, my big bet of Carolina turnovers prop +.5 won! Like I said in my original breakdown, the wording on the prop was vague as hell, and there was about a 5% chance I could be wrong on the wording. I even contacted customer support a week ago and they pretty much agreed with me LOL. I'll take it!
Also, my second quarter not the highest scoring quarter prop was reversed from a loss to a win when I said it should be a push at minimum.
And the Dow Jones prop is looking pretty good right now! I think the Super Bowl indicator more has to do with the whole year, not specifically the next day. I think this is called 'Super Bowl hangover'
So all in all actually came out a few units
John Fox bet corrected from a loss to a push. It was mentioned once so I think the push is correct.
