There are a TON of singers in this poll who I could give honorable mentions to or comment on. Sinatra had incredible phrasing. Daltrey has great range and control and longevity. Rose is a bit hit and miss, but incredible range and dynamism. Little Richard was just a one of a kind with really powerful pipes and a great voice. Nicks has a voice that sounds like a little girl and an old woman at the same time. Truly one of a kind.

Is this supposed to be a best singer poll in terms of who is the best vocalist or who's music you liked the best? Because I don't see how anyone could pick Johnny cash as the best vocalist

He's obviously not the best vocalists, but his emotive quality is what people get. His voice sounds like a old wise man, telling you his war stories. There something powerfully connective with his voice. Like just use the cover of Hurt for example. His voice was perfect for that song and for the lyrics and meaning of that song.

I wanted to vote for her, but I haven't listened to her as much as some of the other people in the poll, or there were other subjective qualities that caused me to vote for them. But beautiful voice and a beautiful woman for sure.

 
I actually had a hard time choosing this time. Had to pick Tina Turner but aside from her there were lots who were interchangeable and very good.

I think his voice is good too and it compliments his songs I just wouldn't call him a great vocalist. Same as Bob dylan
