The 80s, at least with respect to popular music, sucked massive donkey phallus. Don't get me wrong, plenty of great music came out of the 80s, but most of it wasn't exactly on top 40 radio.

Nah, they're alright, in the right doses. LP has gotten me through some grueling workouts.

Also, in retrospect, the lyrics are pretty haunting, given the context of how Bennington went out.

Interesting thought. I've never really known where to place them(admittedly, I think labeling genres is mostly meaningless). It's almost as if they're their own unique, e.g. where grunge meets nuMetal.

As time has gone on there is some narrative of Meg White subtlety being an amazing drummer. Any mention of her being basic gets destroyed with "she understands that less is more" or they even throw Jack under the bus(also overrated) with "She can only play what Jack "allows" her to". I get staying within the music but she's nothing special or even great behind the kit.
