Running, Track and Field Thread.

Dude, nobody I know and I post on track and field boards think Flo Jo was dirty. Of course those aren't know nothings like you.

ONE MORE TIME

She was tested many times and passed every test.

Figure it out stupid.
Do you have any specific insight into what she was tested for?

Also, it is not unheard of for athletes to be punished for doping even if they never failed a doing test

First off Flo Jo was a 10.7 sprinter who got lucky with some wind in Indianapolis in 88. A 10.7 won't win a big HS boys 100, no way in hell she was remotely close to running with world class men who run 9.8's. So that's all BS.

Flo Jo was a studette sprinter way before 1988, she actually started off as a 400m sprinter. And the 200m was her better event.

That 10.49 is bogus, totally wind aided and all of us track geeks know that, yes she could run 10.61, but usually more 10.7ish.

Not sure what she was tested for I am sure she never failed any test.

Anyone who thinks we don't see these track athletes with big improvements from season to the next know nothing about the sport. We see it all the time.

Hell, just this season Fred Kerley a 400m man decided to run the 100 instead. All he did was win the Olympic 100m silver medal. I could go on and on....

Ya never accuse people of being cheats who never failed a test, don't care about .....well this guy.....forget that.

By the way Lorna Boothe was a hurdler she was never beating Flo Jo, more BS.

Did this really happen?

It was 1915 at the Cali State High School champs, next event the 100 yard dash.

Frank Lombardi false starts, so he has to back up a yard, yep, that was the rule. So at the gun he explodes out of the blocks blows by everyone, his time....9.6....which tied the world record, not the HS record, the world record and he ran 101 yards to do it.

After 1915 we never heard of Frank Lombardi again, no NCAA no nothing, just....poof!!!!

The world record for the half Marathon just got broken by a 21 year old.

Flo Jo could barely make the final of the 200m in Rome 1987. A year later she set records in the 100 and 200 that aren't close to being matched. She also clowned the 88 Olympics by getting a gold in the 4x400.

Dead at 37. Do the math.
