Have you seen Blunt Talk? He was basically a British Spider Jerusalem.

I agree about a less Italian Pantoliano, though. He'd be good.
I have seen a few episodes, he was hilarious. I've always thought he was gay tho. Spider might poke a guy in the anus just to teach him a lesson, but def aint gay.

Is the show any good? I've not heard of that network.
I'm a huge cinemax fan I always mention strike back, banshee and the knick on this forum. They were doing the netflix style ultra violence mixed with soft core porn even before netflix did it,even thought they are owned by hbo they are creating their own style of shows.

I believe BLUNT TALK might be a direct result of Stewart wanting to play Jerusalem.

holy fuck this is amazing news! the boys is one of the greatest comic book series of all time

I always thought ultraviolence + softcore porn was Starz wheelhouse.

Never knew Cinemax did the Knick. Have heard good things about Banshee too. I guess something more serious might not be so far fetched from them.

If they don't go all out and stay true to the comic, why bother. And that might be a hard sell, even for premium cable. A man rapes and eats a baby, for God's sake.

I think that would still be okay on hbo or cinemax, the only thing off the table is an erect penis :)

How exactly can these "boys" possibly take on super powered beings?

The Boys is created by Preacher's Garth Ennis and Transmetropolitan's Darick Robertson. follows a CIA squad sent to keep a society of amoral, celebrity-like superheroes in check. The Dynamite Entertainment series ran for seventy-two issues, from 2006 to 2012.

Amazon Orders 'The Boys' Script From 'Supernatural,' 'Preacher' Creators

Garth Ennis is the king of Fucked-Up-Shit writers.

Don't believe me? Read the first issue of Crossed.

Love this series, but yeah, I don't see how the series as it was written and drawn is gonna be the one that gets on screen.

Will watch it, for sure, but is it really The Boys if it doesn't go all out?

They better do a panel for panel shot of Butcher's creation story

Would have been better on Cinemax, but maybe we'll be surprised.

I'll give the pilot a shot, but my hopes are not high. Not after how they butchered(pun intended)Preacher.
