How do you figure? He literally answered that exact question last week: https://www.sherdog.com/news/articles/Ask-Ant-Last-Action-Hero-Edition-166439

But you didn't read the article, did you...

Hi Ant. What fights at the UFC December 7 are you looking forward to most? Also, have you watched any bare knuckle events? If so, what do you think? Have a good Thanksgiving!

Fight of the year-Izzy vs kelvin was the best fight I’ve ever seen
Fighter of the year- Izzy and Jorge Masvidal
Disappointment of the year- usman and Henry cringe not defending their titles.
Also the main event with Ronaldo de Souza vs Jan , god damn that fight sucked
    Good questions mates

    Great question!
My opinion is that timing plays a big factor.
He could wait for winner of khabib vs tony however that’s risky business.if they fight in feb and either gets injured could be quite a while before the return. If the fight is close or tony wins they might do a rematch.
I believe Justin will be watching Conor vs cowboy (if it happens) and the title fight and will fight which ever winner who will be ready and bring him some money

Do you think USADA's "certified supplement" idea is workable considering what a rinky-dink industry that is? I mean, companies disappear and emerge by the day. And how would it function in non-US countries where such companies most-likely don't even operate such as Brazil, China or Russia?

For those that don't seem to be aware, this is a thread from a main page staff member. Troll this thread at your own risk, and please don't make the forum staff card you because you couldn't restrain yourself for one minute.

I've occasionally had similar difficulties because it's easy to focus primarily on discussion sections. The mailbag is currently featured on Sherdog's front page where you'll also find other excellent content. Sometimes the exact links aren't included in these discussion threads - hoping they might be included in all of them going forward. Below is your questions and the reply, along with a link to the mailbag article. Great questions and answers by the way!

ShankMcGank: What’s your vote for “Fight of the Year,” “Fighter of the Year” and, most importantly, biggest disappointment of the year?

Israel Adesanya is my pick for “Fighter of the Year.” Becoming the first African-born fighter to win a UFC title, headlining a home stadium show and winning the “Fight of the Year” against Kelvin Gastelum -- see how I answered two questions in one smooth move -- makes for a convincing case. Aside from his aforementioned FOTY win, there was also a surprisingly fun affair with Anderson Silva and his complete destruction of Robert Whittaker for the undisputed crown.

I’m not sure if I can fairly answer what my biggest disappointment of the year is so soon after the horrid Jan Blachowicz-Ronaldo Souza main event. Recency bias is very real, and I want some distance to account for what I’m sure is a laundry list of letdowns.

You forgot to mention the biggest disappointment of the year and you have his punch line as a username, bro.

Why did Henry Winkler come up in my mind when I thought about celebrities fighting? Who knows, but wouldn't you want to see this dude fight someone?

I'd love to see if a prime Fonz could go toe to toe with David Cassidy.

Had a lot of fun, thanks for watching and giving us questions. I may be on next week too, depending on how things go. And don't let that wet blanket administrator spoil the fun we can have in here.

I'll take this time to answer a few questions we didn't get into on the broadcast, since Ant also has his mailbag column but I have a few thoughts on the matter too.

The DC card I don't want to spoil too much of our analysis since we're going to break that card down on fight week, but I will say there are some surprisingly good matchups on it. Sucks we lost the Fishgold fight because I was looking forward to his. Rob Font vs Ricky Simon is going to be all-action. Marina Rodriguez vs. Cynthia Calvillo is a sneaky relevant fight in the strawweight title picture, #9 vs. #10 with the winner probably skipping in line over fighters that have lost big fights recently (Esparza, Waterson, Gadelha, Ansaroff is having a baby). Main event though, can Jairzinho show us he's got the goods, or will Reem come in chin tucked?

Bare Knuckle FC, I've watched all their cards since their inception, even though they're clown shows at times. I even wrote an article about how ridiculous one recent event was. Shameless plug ahoy!

And thanks, this should be a good weekend.
