Has anyone here ever used virtual reality games like thrill of the fight to spar virtually or to be a substitute for shadow boxing? What do you find as to whether it was realistic enough compared to real sparring? The cost of the equipment is not cheap so I wanted to get some views here.

I've been doing shadow boxing and trying to visualise opponents every single day of pandemic.

I tried looking for pov boxing footage but very little exists. The 360° VR is overkill and there isn't much of that either.
On a funny note, the majority of stuff that comes up when I search is femdom porn, even in youtube.

The most useful thing I have found to do is video myself directly from front in portrait while throwing punches, blocking and slipping etc.
Selecting key still frames from the video of an extended jab/right hand/uppercut etc or even defensive positions.
Then making a slideshow out of them and working through each slide, thinking about how I would attack myself if that was my opponent. Find the opening, block & counter etc.
This also highlights defensive flaws to correct.
