In the heyday of ECA I took half a dose of EC a hour before a 2 hour MT training session.

I ended up getting to training beforehand, did hill sprints then beasted myself for 90 minutes and crashed heavily, albeit at a higher pace than without.

Thought I was having a heart attack for 30 minutes during pad work and then ended up being exhausted for 4 days afterwards.
I was well trained at that point and early 20's, so I'd probably actually heart attack now and take a month to recover from the exertion.
 
Pretty much all supplements are bullshit. The only real thing that works is steroids.
