Looks like it could be good. I don't think I've seen the first one in at least 20 years.
 
Maverick needs an enemy ace squadron to go against to showcase his badassery.
 
never saw the first one & don't care to.

Top Gun : Cougar

After having a mental breakdown Cougar goes back to the states to see his wife and daughter.
Suffering from PTSD his recovery proves difficult as he is overwhelmed with flashbacks from the "missle lock".

Everywhere he goes he is triggered. Anything black or with a beeping tone sets him off.B10.jpg
Living in fear that the non denominational black plane and pilot that nearly killed him is going to return.

He ends up managing a waffle house.

I have no faith in big budget blockbusters. Most of them are pure crap
