I'm pretty sure the emancipation movement also got quite a bit of negative attention back in the day.

Just because a bigoted majority is reacting to something they perceive as abnormal, doesn't mean that they are actually correct.

Well that’s anecdotal. But what you’re basically saying is that before drags were doing readings in libraries nobody cared about drags and the lhgbtq+ community? In NYC Gays and Trans are a huge part of the community. They have whole villages that cater to them. Great restaurants and bars that straight people go to as well. The Halloween Parade is basically a Pride parade. No one cares, and many straight people go to watch the show. Sasha Grey was removed from a Library for reading stories to kids..Her identity is based in being a porn star. A person that dressesin crazy Drag has his identity based on sexual orientation and fantasy....that has no place in front of kids. I wouldn't want someone whose identity is based on hate (like a KKK) guy reading to kids either. Leave the kids alone. They do not need agendas shoved down their throats.

If people actually were allowed to truly be themselves I would doubt there would be any 100% heterosexual people left.

What sexual content? As far as I’ve seen it was just a drag reading stories, nothing sexual about it. But maybe I missed something.

And garnering “negative attention” always seems to go hand in hand with groups emancipating themself, since that happening is always seen as negative by some people.

As he just said - thats not an agenda, its normal life. Vast majority of humans are heterosexual, scientific fact. Therefore, it's no more an agenda than kids being informed about eating healthily.

Sorry you are gay, or trans, or whatever you are - most people are not. You will never feel fully accepted because that to you, means being considered part of the majority and that's never going to be the case. Live your life and enjoy yourself.

No they have villages that they created themself because they were attacked, abused, ridiculed and not allowed to enter certain other establishments (which was suddenly a big problem on the right during covid with unvaxxed lol). The vast majority of people living today have been raised in a heteronormative society and have never explored their sexuality beyond "I like the opposite gender, so this must mean I am 100% straight".

Homosexual behaviour was incredibly prevalent in many societies before Abrahamic religions came about and enforced their gender roles.

Oh shut up....Did blacks get attacked? Did Jews? Chinese? Females? Poor people? Everyone has been through it. Gender reveal parties are awful. However.

What is it with trans people thinking everything is 'about them'? Other people celebrating something does not = them mocking you. Someone being proud of their own gender, likewise (however odd that might seem) does not = them mocking your gender confusion.

It honestly seems like the trans community think the entire world is revolving around them. Every decision or action that happens is an indirect stab at them and their gender dysphoria. Everyone needs to partake in their little struggle, everyone needs to acknowledge their own gender by referring themselves as 'Cis' rather than just 'a man' or 'male'. Because saying those words is again, an indirect stab at their own gender confusion.

Newsflash - you're not a blip on society's radar, in the same way that I am not a blip on society's radar.

It is abnormal for humans to not be attracted to the opposite sex.

Saying that it is abnormal is not saying that it is wrong or bad - just that it deviates from the normality of human behavior and instincts. Human beings got this far by wanting to reproduce with each other to create future generations.

I'm not saying they need to be ostracized or anything of that nature - they should be free to do whatever the hell they want to do as adults (within the law) and not be ridiculed for their personal preferences.

It will always be abnormal though. They will always be a very, very small minority.
