But, in a book titled ‘Count Down’ by Dr. Shanna Swan, he states that increase of chemicals and pollutants in our environment is taking a toll on the reproductive organs in men and women.

Some of the highlights mentioned Dr. Shanna Swan in his book are:

1. Pollution is leading to erectile dysfunction
2. Pollution is a leading factor for declining fertility in men and women
3. Increased pollution is causing male babies to be born with smaller penises.

That’s clearly something to be worried about because projecting that reduction in fertility rate into the future should make more and more men and women infertile that can bring humanity into an existential crisis.

“Chemicals in our environment and unhealthy lifestyle practices in our modern world are disrupting our hormonal balance, causing various degrees of reproductive havoc”.

Due to our own actions for a comfortable life or those done in the name of “development” are in fact hurting us more than we know and posing more health problems than one could ever imagine.

In the same book, Dr. Shanna mentions five different criteria to tell when a species can be termed “endangered” and as per him, if the condition of any species meet any one of those five criteria, it can be classified as endangered. To our shock, we humans meet 3 out of those five criteria, putting our species at super high odds of extinction in near future.

How are the pollutants in the air affecting human’s fertility?​

PHTHALETES, is one chemical used in plastic manufacturing to make it more flexible. When the microscopic particles of plastic enter a pregnant woman’s system or other people’s system, it meddles with the release of endocrine causing hormonal imbalance. The chemical enters the bodies of babies even before they come into this world as they are absorbed into the womb after entering the pregnant woman’s body.

This chemical and its related other chemicals are shown to cause female sexual dysfunction and shrinking of the penis size. A study conducted by her revealed that the sperm count in men reduced by 59% over the last 40 years. 180+ studies were conducted on 45,000 men to see the tight coupling between increased pollution and reduced fertility rates.

Also in another study, when people were exposed to less pollutants, their life span seemed to have increased by 9 healthy months.

Conclusion

As we run towards “development” and continue destroying the environment around us, we ourselves are cutting the tree branch we are sitting on. We still some hope left as we are not on the brink of extinction yet. Acting today, doing our part in reducing our carbon footprint will help us and our children a long way in leading a healthy and happy life on our planet.

So why would some lesbian or some soy boy who with no desire to procreate, have such strong feelings about a world hundreds of years in the future? Serious question, what is their motivation to put so much energy into a cause that has virtually no effect on them? Why are they throwing soup on paintings, and sitting on roads and blocking traffic if they have no skin in the game?

By most accounts these types have a disdain for human beings and our existence, so what is really driving them?

With all due respect, I think you are looking to apply logic to a place where it is not a primary factor.

These people are the result of the propaganda designed to manipulate their emotions and weaponize their anger.

The food, water and medicine is poisoned, the education system is geared to make people dumb and without any critical thinking, mental health issues are ENCOURAGED and celebrated.

Unfortunately, what we are getting is taking away farmer's livelihoods because the cows might be farting while climate change CEO's fly around in private jets and create taxes, rules, and regulations that do nothing for the environment, but help the upper class stay in their jets and 50,000 square foot mansions.

Unfortunately while your purported aims are noble, any suggestions that are made towards those ends would be rejected off hand until Taylor Swift does anything. So nothing will ever get done as no solution is perfect or fully equitable. It just becomes obstructionism.

I'm lucky enough to live in a place where the scientific fact of human driven climate change isn't really a political issue - but you have entire blocs of the population in many cases disputing there is even a problem to be dealt with.
