ehh...really arguable that WB won the first fight. hell, and even the second.
but off the top of my head, silva was still a fav in the 2nd fight vs weidman despite getting KOed for the belt. and similar situation in sonnen 2. silva was dominated in sonnen 1 before getting a lucky GOAT comeback sub and still opened up as a sizeable fav in the rematch. it happens a lot. odds usually reflect the betting market, which factors in public perception (many thought WB won the first fight). up to us bettors to find value in them or not.
Yea won on technicalities maybe. The fight itself wasn't even close. Wonderboy got dominated. Only goofy scoring made it seem close. One guy nearly got knocked out and submitted, one guy was totally fine. We saw again WB crumble to Woodley's strikes just like before.
Weidman should have been the favorite. People were living in denial. Sonnen probably should have been to. I'm not saying there is any hard rules as to why odds should be how they are. But if I see one guy dominate another guy and they have an immediate rematch, I'll bet on the guy who dominated the other guy if he's the underdog 9/10 times.
Yeah I mean that's fine to have that opinion. That's how you can create value when placing bets. I'm just saying that odds have public perception factored in so it's not crazy to think why Woodley would be a dog if most people thought WB won the first time.
Honestly -180 WB in hindsight is a terrible bet for anyone to make, fight hinged on if Woodley wanted to fight.
Not jealous. I had a great night. Just saying it's curious that you don't post bets.
"The right side is the winning side" - Chad Millman
whose leg is that
Looks like Dan Kelly's
you should know that man wtf??? is it hard to guess?
I get where you're coming from but the scoring in mma doesn't work like that. It's round by round, if you don't win the majority of rounds than you're unlikely to win on the judges scorecards. The sport is littered with examples of fighters taking far more damage than their opponents but still getting the decision because they win more rounds (Bisping v Anderson, Bisping v Hendo 2, GSP v Hendricks etc).
Got to be dad-bod.
Today is my biggest day EVER !
Im gonna repost from the betting thread
Craziest fucking parlay of my life hit
Biggest dogs of My life hit !
My units are $100 btw
Won over 15k today on one motherfucking parlay !
Biggest winning day in my entire life has been just under 12k , today is a whole other level of win
And its mostly because of that one retard degen parlay
But, I was HEAVY into Lando when the fight was first announced, but reading the thread made me realize that normally I would be on Teymur in a similar situation
Anyway, I never gloat or cry , win or lose
But thought I would share the great news with the people who made it happen !
Man I hit a similar one but for like 10% of what you did. I just never throw more than ten or MAYBE 20 bucks on the hail mary type parlays. Awesome job man. Here's mine:
Almost never do myself, kindve just went for it
Isnt it sweet to see all those + odds in a parlay?!
Even at $20 I'm sure the return was great
It was only ten on that one though. But yeah I'm not gonna complain at all!
Yours is awesome. Hitting one like that with a hundo on it can make up for those nights where you cant' catch a break.
Exactly, we've all had nights where we came super close to hitting the big one and I finally got one, not even gonna pretend that half of that shit wasnt luck
Kelly getting a split and Tybura finishing with like 90 secs to go
Now that you're ballin', I expect to see you in next week's Sherdog MMA DraftKings event.
I think big wins like this should always be shared. Congrats man, that's a great read. I love dank prop parlays. 1u well fucking spent.
Lando has a chin musta been nerve wracking haha
