How worried are we that Werdum weighs the most in any fight in recent memory at 247? Doesn't seem like a huge deal, but could be a minor sign of aging. Here are his past 10 weights

    Overeem 239
    Browne 240
    Stipe 240
    Cain 236
    Hunt 232
    Browne 232
    Nogueira 242
    Russow 246
    Nelson 246
    Overem 246

How much does this actually hurt his odds? Everybody is talking like it's a huge deal, but he's only dropped from +197 to +226 which isn't the biggest move.

it changed my perspective of lee + o2.5 prefight with the ferguson sub prop and live bet ferguson plans to

very small on lee straight, bought almost totally out of o2.5, added a lot of ferguson ITD props.

the extra difficulty of his weight cut just hammers home what i already felt: he's gonna be drained and at a severe disadvantage the longer the fight goes. i still have lee rd 1 and lee sub small stabs, but if that doesn't happen, i think ferg takes over.

Its not a big deal imo, and that move is a large move and an unwarranted one.

I liked Ferguson a lot before and like Him even more now that lee had to do that big cut. More often than not these big weight cuts put these guys at a huge disadvantage especially against a guy like Ferguson

I think it is a pretty big deal, he just had to cut weight, missed, then get in the mindset again to cut and grind out that last lb. He is going to be mentally and physically affected.

That makes sense. I feel that Lee via submission in the first 2 rounds was his most likely path to victory anyway, and this fight is only ~30% to go the distance so it's probably not the biggest deal.

I hadn't bet him yet but just threw a little action on +221. He didn't look fucked up or anything, just came up a pound short and had to give it a second try. Maybe it hurts his odds a little bit but he has almost 36 hours to recover and get back to full strength so I think it will be fine.

He didn't look good, you gotta watch in HD. I wouldn't be playing it off like its nothing. Cutting that extra pound and a half makes a bigger difference than you think, he struggles to make 156.

It can take days it recover from a bad weight cut, especially if you cut a monstrous amount like Lee, these guys are bringing themselves to the brink of death from dehydration and then going and fighting the next day. Cutting weight was physically the hardest thing I've ever done, I cut 15 pounds, felt like I was gonna die and I'm Lee's size, he cut over 20

Fighting 5 rounds against Ferguson is probably the worst thing you can do after a bad weight cut.
