@Joseph Budden I 100% completely understood what you meant about Reem not being a worth a bet even at +200. Saved me Some money. Thank you

yeah taking an avg priced dog's ML with a glass chin vs ngoatnou wasn't the right play, his KO prop was obviously much better value.

I only checked H2H, I just thought Reem might actually be able to hold Ngannou against the cage for longer and test him.

Like a minute in you could just see Reem himself knew it was going to end bad.

2366:1, .03u for 71u. Missed the first few fights and was trying to avoid spoilers so I didn't know this was live going into the Pettis fight. Would've hedged pretty big.

I think it is BS that you lost that bet. Can you explain what they consider a winning bet if someone bet U2.5?

Person on live chat was telling me the U2.5 would have won in this instance. Although I suspect they'd have graded that a loss too.

Won't be doing any more total rounds bets with them any time soon.

Never mind, I see now that only completed rounds are considered (Ohhh over 2.5 really means over 3?!?!). Either way, I think that is very shady. As someone else mentioned, why even have the .5 increments? Never used that site, but I'd like to see how their odds for the O/U with the .5 rounds differed from other sites. Did their odds align with other sites that offer O/U on .5 increments or were they closer to the odds that show "will fight go x rounds".

I've never even heard of that site, why are you betting there? What country are you in?

Yes, but all of the sports you mentioned can't finish earlier than the 90 minutes, 4 quarters, etc. MMA and boxing are unique where they can finish before the scheduled number of rounds. Some MMA betting sites allow +/- on scorecards, which is more similar to what you are talking about.

I'd definitely be mad if I lost a bet in this way - when has anyone had to look at the T&C to see what over 2.5 means? It just seems very shady to me and I bet we'd never be able to get them to prove that they paid bettors on the other side of that bet.

I got killed today, needed Gaethje ITD, Deadeem or U2.5 in ME, but now I lost 4.5U. Oh well.

it doesn't matter if the sport cant finish before the scheduled time, the over/under bets in these sports is the same type of bet as it is in mma just with different criteria, the +/- props are similar yes but they also have there own equivalent in other sports such as one team to win by +4 points, -2.5 goals or whatever, they generally differ because the bet criteria is for one team or participant not the whole event.

yeah I'd be mad too it's happened to me at some point(I remember boylesports, betvictor maybe betfred having these issues before they paid out and cleared up the rules), but lets be real, if you don't read the terms and conditions of a company that by nature is unethical as fuck and wants to take all your money then you just have to take it on the chin, obviously almost every other book does it the right way these days, so with this particular bet I know from experience why it's so easy to assume they would have the same rules as the rest.

EDIT: yeah it does seem a little shady but you can find out if they pay out by simply placing a winning bet on the other side or get a few people to bet really small on each side to compare payouts. these mma prop markets generate almost nothing for their company comparatively also, not sure it would be worth the terrible PR if word got out haha. I think that they just literally took the definition of o/u *.5 from other sports where you can't have half points and applied it to mma without thinking about how dumb it is when you do it for rounds..

Dropped 0.9u mainly in part to 3u across Reem and Aldo.
Don’t regret those plays at the prices. Reem is never a 2/1dog vs anyone imo, maybe going forward... he is beginning to look old and tired.

As far as Ngannou, who on earth can trouble him? I’d like to see what Cain Velasquez could do.

Got rekt yesterday, but made a small profit today. Thank god I hedged my 5u Reem play with 2.5u on the u1.5, since I figured Ngannou was either going to Arlovski him or get fucked up by the technique disparity. Kinda wish the dude showed... more, I guess? I'm not too attracted to the prospect of Champ Ngannou since it feels obnoxious to have a champ who's just 'I hit obscenely hard, lel'.

I still like Edgar and possibly the return of Mendes against Holloway. I think the latter might actually be his worst extant FW match-up.

Sweet. Even with my losses from friday I'm up 10u for the weekend, mainly from Teymur and Alvarez! Nice to see that many of you had similar, or better, results!

    2W-4L Profit = +5.03Units

Another event, another win for the bad guy. UFC 217 + 218 combined profits = +18.46 Units
    If 1 unit = $100 your profit = $1846
    If 1 Unit = $1000 your profit = $18,460

Not even Justin Gaethje's winning streak can survive the Barry free pick phenomena.

I bend over backwards to give you these highly coveted value bets. Will I continue to hand the Sherdog betting community free money? Stay tuned...

As always, show the kidd love. I take a lot of time out of my busy handicapping schedule to contribute here. I don't have to do this, but I feel as the betting OG I gotta spread wisdom & knowledge.
